Nice, but have to feel sorry for all the JWs who have been strictly shunning relatives for decades. đź Those are relationships that wonât easily, or ever, get patched up. đ©č

Wow, interesting developments.
I have visited dozens of churches and JWs stand out as the most over dressed religious group around. No other group requires suits and ties, so this change was well overdue.
On the downside it will make dressing for the meetings a bit more complicated, as a cheap suit was at least a kind of uniform that most could afford. Smart dress outside of wearing a suit could easily get competitive and expensive. I guess some also wore expensive suits too. Itâs a long time since I cared what I wore or what people think about it anyway.
Are relatives allowed to talk to DFed people in general now, or does this only apply at the meetings? It would be odd if relatives were allowed to say hello to DFed family members at the meeting but not at other times. I hope this is just a small step on more comprehensive move away from shunning.

Trinitarians say there are three persons in one being, or three persons in one God. Although not all trinitarians agree on what word to apply the threeness to and what word to apply the oneness to.
The point from Galatians is that Paul apparently had no conception of âthreenessâ within God. He made the simple observation that a mediator requires more than one party, whereas God is only one. He had no idea of God being âthreeâ in any sense, and assumed his readers had the same view.

What has changed since January 2009?
by KerryKing inhi, i was df'd in jan 09. have not been in touch much with the jws apart from a few memorials i went to.. what with all the online presence they have nowadays, it just feels like a totally different religion.
i have seen them with their tablets and phones at the hall, hardly any physical bibles or books at all, makes me think how ai (or the borg) could so easily change words and phrasing in the bible to suit them without making a big deal of it, like 'a new light' talk or wt article.
doctrinally has much changed since 2009?.

The removal of queen Zenobia apparently upset Tom Irregardless.

I thought Tom Harley was a JW apologist. But his recent posts sound anti-GB.Has he turned to the dark side? Or am I misunderstanding his humour?

From June 1st Watchtower 2011
Biblical evidence, however, shows that God has always used his organization as he carries out his purpose. He organized his worshippers in ancient Israel, and he organized the early Christians in their worship. Is it not logical, therefore, to conclude that Jehovah God still directs his people, as he did in the past? Yes, having his worshippers organized and unified is an expression of his loving care for them. Today, Jehovah uses his organization in accomplishing his purpose toward mankind. How can his organization be identified? Consider the following criteria.
