Clearly, if you're a JW on paper yours is superior to JW thinking if you can handle the seduction of making choices for yourself, defying strident dictates of 8 pasty suits in some state in the north east, and even swearing!, and then hermetically sealing off this secret as you go back to your suit, tie, clean shave, fake smiles, and all the accoutrements. If you're that smart to beat the GB, are you smart enough to make dwelling UNDER the GB that palatable? Can you sell a freezer to an eskimo?

'desiring to learn from jesus' example, a pioneer does well to keep in mind that the more material things he has, the more he will have to maintain , repair, or replace.'.
i don't think the gb or anyone in the writing department has the freedom to speak on giving adivce on the matter of 'material things' given the fact that wt has close to a billion dollars in real estate and loads of money in various bank accounts; given the fact that gb is currently building themselves new living quarters with who knows what sort of comforts and other amenities.

The GB are handpicked (by who knows what metric) to sustain a reality distortion field.

I appreciate hypotheses that seek to explain or model how it is that the JW leadership do what they do and get away with it, since it defies all reasoning and present (2013) models or examples of self-generated thoughts or self-directed action. Being as they are one of the most self-referential systems, Ptolemaic in the extreme, asserting that all events of the world center on them like celestial spheres, it is consistent to add a time dimension to their sense of entitlement, and model things as you say - "Their past errors is the energy, the food, that powers the wt." So to that extent (who knows what fractional component) they don't even require any present adversaries. They are 'their own worst enemy'.

Anthemic. In general, my impression of those who must believe is that they are prone to self-satisfaction, and those who cannot believe are prone to the inability to be satisfied. Different brain chemistries for different folks: Some habits reward in the sense of belonging to a group that is subordinate to a broader context. Some habits reward in the sense of defying, breaking, expanding or complicating those broader context(s).
