Some forgotten statements....
by refiners fire injehovahs witness prophetic failure is not simply a matter of failed dates.. there are a whole lot of other aspects to the prophetic expectation.. just with regards to "1975", two aspects immediately spring to mind.. the decline of world religion and the ensuing attack upon religion by the united nations.. both of these "prerequisites" to the 1975 armaggedon have now slipped into distant memory, and are now forgotten.
they are hardly mentioned any more in watchtowers.just to remind doubters what was said.... .

What is our major life decision?
by Bleep inin modern times, the term "proselytism" has been used to mean forcible conversion of one kind or another.
the bible does not support such a practice.
rather, it teaches that men were created as free moral agents with the privilege and responsibility to choose how they will live their lives.

Stating that you have doubt in your heart is ok. Some things take time. I will only say this. It will take time to find out if it was a good decision.

In modern times, the term "proselytism" has been used to mean forcible conversion of one kind or another. The Bible does not support such a practice. Rather, it teaches that men were created as free moral agents with the privilege and responsibility to choose how they will live their lives. This includes the decision of how to worship God. -Deuteronomy 30:19,20;Joshua 24:15.
Jesus respected this God-given right by never using his awesome power and authority to force, or coerce, someone into accepting his sayings. (John 6:66-69) He motivated his listeners by using sound reasoning, illustrations, and viewpoint questions, all with a purpose of reaching their hearts. (Mathew 13:34; 22-46; Luke 10:36) Jesus taught his disiples to show this same respect to others.-Mathew 10:14.
My last thought today is this. When making major life decisions such as what home to buy, where to work, and how to raise children, rational people do not do so on a whim. They may research their options, meditate on their findings and, likely, ask for advice. Only after taking these things into consideration will they make a decision.
The decision of how we should worship God desrves more of our time and effort than any other decision in life. It will affect how we live our life now, and more important, it will affect our prospect of eternal life in the future. This was clearly understood by the first-century Christians in Beroea. Even though the good news was expounded to them personally by the apostle Paul, they still carefully examined the Scriptures daily to make sure that what they were being taught was true. As a result, "many of them became believers."-Acts 17:11,12.
Today, Jehovah's Witnesses continue the teaching and disciple-making work arranged by Jesus. (Mathew 24:14) They respect the right of others to have their own religion. But when it comes to sharing their religios beliefs with others, they follow the pattern set out in the Bible. Yes, they use honest reasoning from the Scriptures in what they consider to be a life-saving work.-John 17:3;1 Timothy 4:16
Ps. I was asked nicely to stick around more to see another side to things. I am not too sure it will happen.

Here are most views:
1)Adam sinned so when we die we automaticly go to heaven if we are good or hell if we are bad.
2) Our judgement according to this is here on earth so if we live only to be two years old that is how long we have to show that we are good.
JW views:
1) We are not being judged until the whole 144,000 appointed judges are brought to heaven. They first have to die here. Until those 144,000 are brought to heaven there can be no judging.
2) After the thousand year reign of Jesus the devil will have a short period of time to decieve all one last time. He will come from the abyss or holding cell. All who persist on following Satan will be burned in the lake of fire which means the second death. No pain but only darkness.
Do not fill in the gaps we all know these are the two main views. Cause being 1). Effect being 2).

The questioning of Lazereth being dead and brought back to live is in the bible allready. You cant take it out. He was dead along time and then when asked what it was like being dead he must have had a good time flying around being a spirit. Or maybe he was sleeping before he was called out of the grave?

God's day of judgement will come someday and will not involve some airplane falling to the earth. He will use much greater force than that. Why would God need help? He created the earth and the heavens which is much greater than anything. I will have to agree that this subject about the World Trade Center has no role in God's judgement day. God's judgement day will come when the earth turns on his people. Why will they turn on God's people? Becouse the governments will be mad at all religion. Babylon the great will fall first though.

Yea i can agree that all living things die. Why would God make man to live a mear 70 to 80 years? Would that be long enough to see if a person is really good or bad? Also why would God decide if we should go to heaven or hell if we are at such an imperfect state and slave to sin? Also why would there be other creations that have no consience and life to be many many years older? If they had a consience then those creations would have a much better chance to live in heaven. Such as a turtle or a tree.

A terrorizing from God would be called a judgement. It is long in coming since the world is slowly passing away. Look at Revelation book and find out some stuff before showing those fear inspiring days that will come to us all.

John Chapter 3. How does it jive with JWs?
by FetterFree Annie incan anyone answer a serious question?
since jws set so much store by bible study etc., i was wondering how they explain away john chapter 3. specifically where jesus tells nicodemus you have to be born again by the spirit of god in order to enter the kingdom of heaven.
while i'm here i would also like to know about eph 2:5,6. it seems to me they work like trojans in order to attain a place in paradise- but this verse clearly states we are saved by god's grace and not our works.

Only the meek will inherit God's kingdom. New system good. Old system bad. Must be alot of people up there in heaven wishing they could be born again. Or maybe they are resting in the common grave being hell; waiting for Jehovah's time frame.
