by Elsewhere inas i said in another post: actions speak louder than words.
muslims were angered by the pope's quoting a 14th century writer who said that muslims are violent in nature.. in order to disprove this statement many muslims took too the streets shouting violent slogans and burned an effigy of the pope.
still more muslims demonstrated that they are not violent by firebombing random churches.. yup... actions speak louder than words.

by free2beme ini work in an environment at work that is a mix of adult ranging in age from 18-50. there are 300 plus people in the building, and that means you get a lot of soap operas happening from people sleeping with other people's girlfriends, boyfriends and even people cheating on their spouses with people they work with.
among the bunch is a large group of people who spend a lot of time passing themselves around, and sampling many sexual partners.
of the people who i know, i have often found that many do not seem as happy as one might think.

We all need sex. And sex means being close to someone. Without the warmth and ecstasy that comes from being physically close to someone people can become depressed and insecure.

Firefighters, policemen, office workers,military people, civilian government people,secretaries, office boys,bankers, lawyers,food vendors,service people,tourists, children, salesmen . . . 3000 people from all walks of life died five years ago, people just like you and me . . .just like you and me.

The problem with DUI laws is that no matter how much one has had to drink, the penalties are pretty much the same. A person can be over the limit after one beer, depending on the varibles. That translates into a night in jail, hundreds of dollars for bail, thousands of dollars for an attorney, hundreds of dollars for " safe driving" classes, hundreds of dollars in increase in insurance premiums ( if they don't drop you ), and thousands of dollars in a fine, and the stigma.
I think most people are painting over this problem with a very wide, emotionally based brush and just don't want to take the time or make the effort to try to come up with a fair solution. Kinda like Watchtower think.
