i was always told that the gb met on wed. and prayed before considering their decisions on things, but was i surprised that different ones were given the assignments and to use if they wanted other "worldly" written things and then were off on their own to work independantly or w/another to come up w/the book, etc.. also, the malawi and mexico difference in treatment.

i'm so excited!.
the wife is on week 8.. i'm trying to figure out how my parents, especially my father is going to take the news when i finally tell them.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND YOUR WIFE!
My grown kids (who were raised JW, but don't associate anymore) are enjoying so many things that I did as a kid now with their children. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to watch this happiness. Often times, as I watch all of this celebrating going on, tears well up in my eyes. Couldn't be happier, but am so sad that I denied my kids these pleasures.
Enjoy your little one. A lot of work, but certainly worth all of it.

his crime?
he had been seen raising his hat when greeting women!!!!.

Hi Ozzy,
I, too, remember my Dad wearing a hat as well as other men. He would touch the brim and give a nod to a lady. These guys are a bunch of lying, fuddy duddies (I don't know if you know what that means in OZ land) In other words a bunch of old farts.
They do strain out the gnat and gulp down the camel in every way!

Also, the Malawi and Mexico difference in treatment. Brothers LIED to escape military service in Mexico. And it wasn't frowned on - no DF. Poor bros. and sisters and the horrendous savagery in Malawi. Bless them!! Shame on this organization!

They warn against "get rich quick scams" and here they build their ivory pyramid scam.
I'm sure that's going to be the future for the D.U.M.B.O project. Can you imagine the money for that bldg. w/fancy apts.?? And all of this built by volunteer help. Don't they have any shame??

Sorry Flyinghighnow to hear of your experiences w/such unfeeling people. I can think of a lot of cruel words that were said to our family too.
Anyways - did anyone else hear them use a non-English word "happifying"???? They always used BIG words that are seldom used so that we would use our dictionaries (?) Yeah right.
