  DOUBLE STANDARDS FOR DUB DOCTRINES

  i just thought of something last night and figured i better post it before i forget it (getting alzheimers here) about the double standards that the wts has when it comes to interpreting scriptures.

  we all know the story about the last supper and how jesus instituted a new covenant with his disciples.

  they all drank the wine and ate the bread as per jesus' instructions and this custom has been passed down for 2,000 years amongst all christians except those unfortunate jehovah's witnesses who weren't baptized before 1935.

  I've been saying for a long time that MT.28:18-20 applies only to the anointed based on WT teaching.I told that to an elder and he was quick to say "No it doesn't,it applies to all christians".I thought what a hypocrite.It's scary that most of them don't even understand WT doctrines and the few that do just ignore it.

  And then there's the famous "Those of us of the great crowd receive the benefits that flow from this kingdom covenant between Jesus and the 144000".

  Where is that in the bible???

  so in a town close to where i live there was once 1 congregation and over time this enlarged to 4 large congs.

  i remember about 23 years ago when the one i was attending split.

  over the last 10 years there has been a steady decline, i for one do not believe there is any increase going on in the uk!

  I would say that here in northern Ontario the numbers are down in the 30% range.The attendance at the CA and DA is down drastically from 10 years ago and I know of 2 congregations that have amalgamated into one.I firmly believe this religion is slowly imploding and the main reason is because they definitely don't have the truth.

  had a fantastic time, couldnt have asked for better weather...forecast said it was going to rain it was hot and sunny right up until we went inside for the reception then a brief shower or too so that was fantastic.. ceremony was over before i knew it, went without a hitch.. reception and photos both great fun.. pretty buggered now hehehehe.. the next few photos are of us in the morning unfort as yet i have none of the ceremony but will pass them on if anyone wants to see.

  Brief Announcement: I have disfellowshipped the Watctower Society

  it is with little or no regret that i have found it necessary to disfellowship the watchtower bible and tract society in order to protect my good name.

  after unrepentantly fornicating with the scarlet coloured wild beast for 10 years and having been exposed by a worldly organization, i have not been able to find any note of contrition or shame.plenty of time has been allowed for an apology but nothing has been forthcoming.indeed, minimising the sin indicates a haughty attitude.

  i,for my part,will forever be ashamed of my association with wtbs.i apologise to bible students i've had and the fear i have displayed in saying nothing for 24 years.

  Welcome to the board. I love your decision to disfellowship the WTS and I feel more of us should do that also.Imagine what they'd start thinking in New York if they were flooded with DF letters.

  I probably would have studied for a while and asked more questions that they couldn't have answered with just their bibles.I would have planted a lot of seeds of doubt,never got baptized and walked away at some point telling all who want to know it's because I cannot conscientiously support beliefs that are false.

  the delusion of believing they are "good witnesses"

  i remember how the org always encouraged us to be a "good witness" by telling others about our jw activities and putting our theocratic interests above everything else.

  this is a major jw delusion that anyone who is not a jw will be impressed by our unwavering loyalty to the wt org.

  just recently my husband had a family reunion we attended in another state.

  In every congregation there are stories similar to yours;of broken jw families,a df'd family member,pioneers just going through the motions,on and on.This just helps give more life to their delusions,trying to convince themselves that it's Satan attacking them because they are so close to the end,on and on.Meanwhile it's the WTS who is entirely responsible for this mess that they've created.
