I pulled up to the gas pump, opened my car door just missing the large metal pump guard post, stepped out of the car and because I had not put the car in 'park', the car rolled back as the guard post folded my door forward while I watched. By the time I got back in the car a hit the breaks, my uninsured car was junk.

i have my jw bible but also have the good news bible that was used at the lutheran church i went to for about 8 yrs back in the 80's.. one (jw)is hard to read and understand some of the books and the (good news)other is to easy and leaves somethings out, well the jw one does to.. .

at one point i left the most vocal jw with nothing to say.. in the end the moderator ask why i was there (on their website).. my reply was to ask what she was doing at the homeowners door.i'm not sure she understood what i meant.

Rebecca was real nice, at first. Even when she would delete my posts she would say in an email "the JWs made her do it".
Kimberly is just a WTS puppet. She has no mind of her own.
Then there's Colin. Real stubborn without any understanding of the bible.
At the end James came on board. He freely admits the "mistakes" of the GB but still believes the JW is the only turth. James is very full of himself. He can babble on for pages and never really say anything.
Eric is the one having big doubts ever since the 1995 generation change.
I think Eric represents a lot of JWs these days.

When trying to study the bible with a JW it's very hard to keep them on point.
I have no regrets as it was an interesting exercise for me.
I will say one thing. JWs are single minded and stuborn. Those are not always bad things.
But I would think, in the face of all the "mistakes" of the GB over the years, they would be open to at least thinking. Even if just a little. But no.
Too bad, so sad.

But the word used in the Hebrew is murder. I'm not arguing good, bad or whatever. I'm just talking about this one word.
Why would I care how it's mis-translated, why would you care?
IF, and I said IF, a person wants to know what the bible says, he needs to know what the Hebrew (in this case, Greek for the NT) word is. Not some translation. You find out the Hebrew word, do a word study and then you will know what the real transalation should be.
Again, I'm not trying to start a fight but all the translations that say "kill" are wrong.
According to the bible, it is not against Mosiac Law to kill in self defence. (just as an example)
Now you may not like that and you may argue that that make the bible and God ....whatever...but please get the facts straight. Thanks.
