matthew 16:28.
"i tell you with certainty, some people standing here will not experience death before they see the son of man coming in his kingdom.".
mark 9:1. then he said to them, "i tell you with certainty, some people standing here will not experience death until they see the kingdom of god arrive with power.".

Please read Matthew 24 again. Read Mark 13 as well.
The disciples ask Jesus when would be and what would be the sign of,
A. the temple being destroyed
B. Christ's coming
C. close of the age.
Jesus gave the answer. He answered in a way that shows that all three events would happen at the same time.
The temple was destroyed in 70 AD.
Look at Hebrews 8:13
At the time when the disciples asked their questions of Matthew 24 the temple was still standing. The old covenant was becoming obsolete and ready to vanish away. But it hadn't yet.
So when they ask "what will be the sign of.....the close of the age" what age were they in at that time?
The old covenant age. When was the end of this age?
Again, this happened in 70 AD with the destruction of the temple.
The "coming of Christ" of Matthew 24 happened in 70 AD and that is how "some people standing here will not experience death until they see the kingdom of God arrive with power"

...and start a kick ass cult!
come on folks, we know best what works and what doesn't..
what sort of cult should it be?
"Women could wear pants"
"Everyone would have [1] birthday party. At parties, everyone would do toasts and wish the person "good luck". "
"Scholarships won and good report card grades would be announced at meetings, and everyone would applaud. "
"The [church] would have a food bank and a display of interdenominational holiday decorations, open to the public each year. "
"The back rooms would be turned into a lounge for teens, with a flat screen TV and games."
This is just what it's like at the church I go to. No kidding.

with the recent escalation of the israel/palestine conflict in the gaza strip dominating news headlines, even former hard-boiled zionist thinkers like daniel gavron start to consider alternative options for the future of the jewish state.
but these chapters contain only a few vague hints of the heretical conclusion - for a life-long, traditional zionist, that is - that gavron has reached and which he presents to his unsuspecting readers in the book's eighth and final chapter: after 55 years of jewish sovereignty, the time has come to dissolve the jewish state and establish, in its place, a single israeli-palestinian state.
"having reached the conclusion that the territory between the mediterranean and the jordan river must be shared, but cannot be sensibly partitioned," he writes in his book, "we are left with only one alternative: israeli-palestinian coexistence in one nation.
"And once you take the religion out of the equation, Israel can be seen for what it really is and what it is doing to the INDIGENOUS people of the land it has taken."
Question; How many of the Arab Palestinians today are descendants of the Canaanites?

what is in the book of revelation doesn't count!.
A person can believe the entire bible was inspired by God and still ask about the quotes attributed to Jesus, no?

i still spend some time here and there exposing the wt society for what it truly is (a man originating, man run, high control religious cult-like religious institution), rather than what they tell people they are (god's appointed channel/organization/people etc).
the facts prove without a doubt that god was never behind any of this:http://www1.tip.nl/%7et661020/wtcitaten/part1.htm.
here is the link to that letter: http://newsblaze.com/story/20081209054218zzzz.nb/topstory.html.
This is off topic.
I find it sad that in the correspondence from the JW mother and wife there is not one mention of Jesus.
Without a personal relationship with Jesus we can not have any relationship with or, for that matter, serve the Father.
Jws seem to miss this point.
