We all have opinions an preferences on where we would like to live but I don't see the USA as one that I would easily disregard as a place to live.
The graphs do give some insight on deficiencies that would be experianced if one was to live in the USA but then there are far worse countries Rwanda has more women in Government so does that make it a better country. Here in Australia we have a women prime minister that will lose her job soon or will be voted out at the soon comming election.
The countries that require a vacation are USA and China. Everyone now should now know that China is the workshop of the world and no one can compete with her but that is because the Chinese work cheaper than anyone else. This will bring benefits to China above what she would otherwise have. Benefits to workers comes at a cost of jobs. Every country has to be compeditive because so the USA may be more so than many others that give better benefits to their workers. In the sixties workers in England worked for an extra hour every working day to make their country more compeditive and address their BOP problems.
Australians say that 'Australia is the lucky country' and I would agree with that however when Australia experianced BOP problems we changed our mind and said 'Australia is the smart country'in an effort for us to use our brains more in making us more compeditive.
One valid critisism of America is they left the Empire and kicked out the British and sent our poor king crazy but we just might forgive them for that in another 100 or so.
According to these graphs a person may easily think many other countries are better than the US and as a result be seriously misinformed. Barry
