This whole 1/3 angels rebelling against God has always puzzled me.
Imagine if you are a carpenter and 1/3 of all the products you build are defects
What if you’re a manager and 1/3 of your department hates you.
Suppose you had 6 kids and 2 became criminals.Isn't it baffling that Jehovah the Almighty God doesn't have a better heavenly family?
btw isn't that a weird number that poped up for the amount of demons?

by Ding indoes anyone know how the wts came up with the term "pioneer" and the related "auxiliary" and "special" pioneer terms?.
it's not in the bible and it seems to come from us expansionist history....

to people comitting suicide.
They also start bragging in the article about the JW neighbor being sooooo helping.

Another 144,000 Question
by Cold Steel inokay, based on my reading, you're clearly better off being one of the 144,000. first, you get to reside in heaven, while everyone else is consigned to living on earth.
second, a spirit (in wts eschatology) is much better than being a flesh and bone human.
they can fly, read in a darkened room and they get to be with god for eternity.. but what of everyone else?

Actually, no... not wishing. I mean, I always knew. From the time I was a child. Which is how I ended up IN the WTBTS: they were the only ones talking about "anointed," and "seed of the Woman" and "truth" and "Israel" and "New Covenant" and things like these. But it truly does NOT matter if one is from one of the tribes of Israel (for me, Benjamin)... or of the nations.

We get a report every year from our district showing our water's analysis and it's always over and beyond the standard.
I think you should get water tested from your faucet.
You could pick up contaminents from the miles of city pipe and you're own plumbing?

Did you ever know any JW's/Pioneers who frequented popular nightspots and got drunk?
by James_Slash init used to make me sick at these hypocrites.. they would be at the meeting the next day or out in field service, obviously still intoxicated from the night before but putting a show on before the congregation.
i knew a couple of girls who would be regulary doing this over a weekend yet they would be pioneers all week, answering up at the meetings yet would be heading into popular nightspots and coming home at 4am drunk.
their dad was an elder (surprise, surprise).. i remember telling an elder about this once.

if you made it to Saturday service or to Sunday meeting you were OK.
If not you went over the line the night before.
We would look for each other to see who made it.

i accept any bible-based religion that adheres to the bible as its authority.. the purpose of this magazine, the watchtower, is to honor jehovah god, the supreme ruler of the universe.
just as watchtowers in ancient times enabled a person to observe developments from afar, so this magazine shows us the significance of world events in the light of bible prophecies.
