The following article will discuss how we can cultivate and maintain joy during troublesome times.
I'm guessing the next article will discuss alcohol and prozac.

here are my notes from his service talk theme:.
isa 65:3 = we live in a rich spiritual paradise (isa 65:3).
what is the history of the faithful and discreet slave?.
What a load of crap.
I wish the society would print this type of information, but they are to clever for that.
Then they wonder why "worldly" people think they are nuts.
my avatar is a pic of a cool car, obviously.

Picture of Bethlehem Pa star.
The star was erected in 1939 by Bethlehem Steel . It has 8 rays with the main horizontal ray 81 feet and the main vertical ray 53 feet long.
another video showing how jws help witnesses and others in haiti.
when you think of all the other organisations who unselfishly help anyone in need and don't make videos to promote there own ideas as members of the watchtower do.
this so makes me sick.. this one is made by two haiti jw missionaries.
didn't see this posted here.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wf_zi-t1nus.
i liked the second comment..
having a look through the march wt pdf and noticed the graph showing the growth of jws and did a little basic math.
now math was not my strongest subject at school so i can stand some correcting on this if need be... but anyway, a little fun with numbers:.
1970; 1'483'000 is a growth of about 390% (av 19.5% per year).
...this year began allowing parents to count time studying with their children. Do you mean all those years ago, I wasn't following "the rules?" There were months - maybe years - when the only time I had was the 'study' time with my kids! If so, mea culpa. DITTO....... Can anyone verify? New service arrangements for World Wide Work: In modern world countries the focus of our ministry will shift to keep ourselves and our children firm in the faith. This is because of all the the attacks from Satan through the media and the internet. Service time will progessively be spent more on preserving our brotherhood in these countries and less on preaching to new ones. These countries have recieved a thorough witness and our preaching obligation has been fulfilled there. Third world countries status quo.
It could be worse. I'm an Eagles fan.

Everyone agrees (even watchtower) that no one knows the date of Jesus' birth.
When our wedding anniversary falls on an inconvenient date, we celebrate it the next convenient date.
Fact is we don't knwo why it was chosen, though we can specualte, but we do know WHy it is celebrated now, it is the day we celebrate the birth of
our saviour, Jesus Christ, as a human. We don't celebrate the DATE, we celebrate the event, an anniversary if you prefer.
totally agree
Watchtower however has to poop on the date everyone arbitrarily chose as Jesus' birth.

Official J dub web site :
Jesus was born in the Judean city of Bethlehem. Luke’s Gospel reports: “There were also in that same country shepherds living out of doors and keeping watches in the night over their flocks.” ( Luke 2:4-8 ) This was not unusual. “The flocks had to spend the greater part of the year in the open air,” says the book Daily Life in the Time of Jesus. But would the shepherds be outside with their flocks on a cold December night? The book says: “They passed the winter under cover; and from this alone it may be seen that the traditional date for Christmas, in the winter, is unlikely to be right, since the Gospel says that the shepherds were in the fields.”
Would shepherds spend the night outdoors with their flocks in the snow?
This conclusion is corroborated by another detail in Luke’s Gospel account: “In those days a decree went forth from Caesar Augustus for all the inhabited earth to be registered; (this first registration took place when Quirinius was governor of Syria;) and all people went traveling to be registered, each one to his own city.”— Luke 2:1-3 .
