love that!
the stories never stop.
abusive, egotistical, demanding, ungrateful and arrogant circuit overseers all over the place and "men" -the elders - take it.. i have seen a number of these itinerant predators offend entire congregations with their behavior and i can count the incidents where elders actually showed some b@lls and stood up to them on one hand.
why are elders such cowards?

do you find it acceptable that a religious leader would give a seemingly christian meaning to events and symbols whose roots go back to ancient paganism?
as to the proper course, the scriptures admonish true christians: what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have?
Can a False Religion Be Made True ?
the dec. 2009 awake asks the question, what kind of star led the "wise men" to jesus?
it concludes that the "star was from an evil source, most likely satan the devil" ( pg 11).
i see the logic , yes....... since herod wanted to kill jesus, a great personage of pure evil must be behind the 'star'.
Look at the marvelous design of the mosquito in sucking blood or the guinea worm that travels thru the blood stream? Or the parasitic liver fluke?
How about dinosaurs, with sharp horns, fangs, canine teeth?
I wonder if there will be dinosaurs in the new system?
has anyone heard this nonsense before?
see reinea, this is proof that your masters don't want you "debating" on these god awful forums.
but don't worry they're praying for ya .
I like the part where the ass kissing brother says " I wish I could find a magic pill for my brother".
Big shot brother says "I know, I know". LOL
Also where the big shot brother says "Why would we want to deceive (voice rising) them"?
Ignorance is bliss

Satan should have sent the star to direct Herod not the wise men. You see the wise men were obedient to Jehovah, but Herod obviously was not.
Joe: The star couldn't have been Jehovah's star. There is no reason to send pagan astrologers to Jesus other then to stir up Herod to try to kill Jesus.
Chris: Joe, if the magi were pawns of Satan and influenced by him, then they would not have obeyed Jehovah's warning in a dream. The fact that they obeyed Jehovah proves that they were sent by him.
Joe: So, they obeyed him that proves nothing.
Chris: Jehovah could easily have stopped the wise men from finding Jesus just as He stopped Herod from finding Jesus. But the wise men provided something for his Son that was needed because of an important prophecy.
Joe: What do you mean?
Chris: Matthew 2:15 quotes a prophecy from Jehovah about His Son being in Egypt. And verse 18 is another prophecy quoted about the death of the young children that would be killed by Herod. It was no surprise to Jehovah that Herod would cause the death of many children in an attempt to kill Jesus. Jehovah already knew this and gave a prophecy to show that He was prepared for this event. How would Jehovah provide protection for Jesus?
Joe: He would send Jesus and his parents into Egypt.
Chris: If Jehovah already knew that his Son would need to go to Egypt just as Jehovah prophecied, what did He prepare to provide financially for his Son in Egypt?
Joe: I've never thought of that question before. I don't know.
Chris: Just think, Joe. The wise men brought very expensive gifts to the young child Jesus. These gifts were worth enough to finance the stay in Egypt of God's Son. These men brought Jehovah's financial provision for Jesus and not until after the magi left were Jesus' parents instructed to flee to Egypt. Now Joe, whose star do you think the star of Bethlehem really was?
thought this was especially ironic in light of the jw's.. http://www.mcall.com/entertainment/all-onemonth.7092185nov27,0,1429302.story.

What would you do if had only 30 days to live?
Go on the vacation of a lifetime? Run up your credit card bills, knowing you'd never have to pay them off?
This is the question members of two Lehigh Valley churches are answering this fall as they take on a challenge based on the book ''One Month to Live: Thirty Days to a No-Regrets Life.''
Written by Houston-area ministers Kerry and Chris Shook, the book made the New York Times best-seller list shortly after it was released in February 2008. More than 2,200 churches have taken the Shooks' challenge.
Pastor Nathan Brown of Life Kingdom Family Center in Orefield admits that extravagant vacations and wild credit-card spending initially may have come to mind for some of the 40 adults and teens participating in the challenge at his church. But it didn't take long for them to get grounded and express what was really in their hearts.
Brown says his goal would be the opposite of running up credit card bills. ''When I'm gone, I would want it to be debt-free for my wife and kids,'' he says.
Brown's group is partway through its One Month to Live course and already is making progress. After some initial extravagant reactions, people started thinking more about their relationships, he says.
''What I'm hearing is 'I'd go around and say I'm sorry to everybody,' '' says Brown.
''Three things stood out,'' says associate pastor Jesus Rendon. ''People stepping outside of themselves and doing things they'd really like to do, and not giving excuses. People making the decision to take care of themselves. And people going back to family members and friends, asking for forgiveness, realizing life is too short.''
-- Live passionately, living each day as if it were your last.
-- Love completely, showing others love that transcends and transforms.
-- Learn humbly, growing through your problems and pain.
-- Leave boldly, creating a legacy that will affect generations.
There was more, just thought it was an interesting article especially since JW"s live like they will never die.
god presented adam with a commanment.
and he was given the option and told the consequences .. so adam chose to die.
where is the sin.. .
I don't think he chose to die. I think he chose to disobey, hoping to not get caught.
disobedience = sin IMO
However, I wonder why Adam is not forgiven.
Jesus's death atoned Adam's sin, thereby atoning our sins.
Doesn't make sense to me that Adam wouldn't be forgiven.
6:9; isaiah 9:6.. comments.
what is one way that divine education helps us prepare for the future?.
divine education.
However, the modern-day works that Jehovah is accomplishing in connection with the sanctification of his name
will no doubt be preserved in a permanent record as part of theocratic history.
But then, the only people who will look into their past record will be apostates. LOL
