rev 14:3 and they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders.
these were redeemed by jesus from among men, the first fruits to god and to the lamb.
these are they who with women were not defiled, for they are virgin; these are they who are following the lamb whithersoever he may go; these were bought from among men -- a first-fruit to god and to the lamb -- (ylt).
The Rev. book speaks of spiritual adultery.
"What characterizes this class is a spiritual virginity they have avoided spiritual adultery with worldly politics and with false religon."
Using their screwed up reasoning,
What about spiritual sex with the WTBS whom they love to get it from uh huh.
Really to be a spiritual virginity would mean no spirituality,
but they add the adultery part and so the spin begins.
Sexual virginity means no sex period. adultery, within marriage, or anything.

Thanks hellrider,
But I didn't see an explanation of "being in paradise today" which makes me wonder if the JW's do
have it right.
yesterday i was talking with a co-worker about another co-worker who is a jw.. i told him wed was a big deal for the jw's because it is the only day they recognize to celebrate.. he asked me why they only celebrate it once a year.
i told him it's because it was the annual .
passover that jesus was celebrating and they are continuing the memorial as an annual event,.
moggy lover,
like the analogy.
I went to a church with a friend and they had communion. It was a good experience. I actually partook of the wine ( grape juice) and bread. When you do that it really personalizes it and really makes think.Gives you a much greater appreciation for the sacrifice.
It was really interesting the way it was all handled I think the service was more solemn and respectful then the witness thing.

Will the robber be with Jesus in heavenly paradise? I don't recall heaven being refered to by JW's as paradise.

passover that jesus was celebrating and they are continuing the memorial as an annual event,
and its the only day recognized in the bible where it says keep doing this.
His comment then was "why do they attend all the meetings and assembies they do, it's not mentioned
in the bible how often to do that".
I had no reply.
Also the jw co-worker asked me if I went to the memorial, I said "no", he said "I see" with a perplexed look on his face. I then asked him if he went, he respond "of course" laughing. That was the end of that
discusion.
Thought I'd share

and he hasn't made up his mind about tomorrow.
a couple of months ago i attended a funeral with my wife at the local kingdom hall for my uncle.
its the 1st funeral i've been to and 1st kingdom hall in 5 years.
i was a jw for 17 years and now i'm a chrisitan.
Sorry about your loss. Sounds exactly like the funeral for my aunt a few years ago.
What drove me crazy about the JW's is everything they do turns into a talk about the watchtower.
The prayers at the assemblies always iritated me the most because they ended up being a review talk of the assembly.
i mean really, besides changing some stupid rules now and then what is there for a jw to learn?
how many biblical truths or new understandings have come out in the last 3,5,or 10, years?
they keep on "studying" and yet they learn nothing new.
At one of my sheperding calls I told the elders the meetings were just meetings on meetings.
many here have been reproved or disfellowshiped for asking questions about the bible and the jw interpretation of it.. after encouraging the asking of questions, one of the newest wt publications states: "others worry that asking questions could lead to shame or embarrassment.
and some decide that such questions are best left to religious leaders and teachers.
that quote is found in the first chapter of the new publication that all congregations will begin studying each week at their congregation book study.
Has anyone tried to refuse new light ? It could be an interesting twist on things.
