Just read 'Jehovah Unmasked'. Here's what i think of it!

when i first joined the forum a short while ago the aforesaid book was recommended to me after i ranted about the disgusting, genocidal machinations of jehovah.

nathaniel merritt, although i don't concur with all he says, is a very brave and bright guy.

his abhorence of the nightmarish evil perpetrated by this god mirrored the thoughts that i've been having for a few years now.

I'm defending gods reasoning.
In my opinion :
The Israelites fought a just war by destroying a nation that was immoral.
analogy is :
After the bombs Japan knew they could not win.
In the end those bombs definetely saved american lives and maybe
less japanese were killed then would have been killed in a prolonged conventional war.
Jehovahs scorched earth war made most surrounding nations know they could not win.
This defintely saved Israelites lives and might have saved some of the
other nations lives by making them flee or surrender (gibeonites).
Also if you killed only the adult enemies, the children grow up and they might
have a problem with you killing their parents.
It's a grizzily thing to think about killing the children,
but those were crazy days:
tortureous deaths on crosses, human sacrifices
women being treated like dogs all nations had kings (dictators)
who did as they pleased.
It's not a perfect analogy.

Jehovah kind of reminds me of the USA .
Show your enemy that you can totally destroy them,
and hopefully you will ultimately save lives, both yours
and the enemys (most importantly your sides).
I'm thinking of one example in particular the
nuculear bombs dropped on Japan .
Did the caananites really care their children
were killed anyway, saved them the trouble of doing it .

Is there a date for the beard ban?
I always thougtht beards were frowned on because of
the 60s and the hippie stereotypes.
any wt pub to pin ban back then? jws don't believe
anything unless it comes from the channel.
Side point, I have a beard, recently my company hired
a jw that I now work with. He told me mustaches are
allowed but only to your lower lip ?????
I told him to grow a big handle bar mustache.

I think anytime someone misleads or decieves a person
by not telling the truth ,the whole truth,and nothing but the truth
even though they might not have lied in the process of doing this:
They are then a liar
ultimately I believe satan lied
It's crazy the similarities between the way satan
communicates to people and the way the WTBS does.

For God knows that in the day you

If Satan was one of the governing body
he could easily get out of this lie.
1.Hey, I meant you wouldn't die today or tommorow.
2. I meant just touch it with a stick or something.
3. I meant wait on Jehovah for the fruit to fall off,
then only eat a fraction of the fruit.
4. Actually I meant You surely shall not die!
if you don't eat from it !!!!!
I made a statement :You surely shall not die!
then I made another statement:
For God knows that in the day you
eat from it your eyes will be opened
and you will be like God, knowing
good and evil.
You read to much into it!!!!
I didn't mean the two statements to be connected.
Think of any other WTBS reasoning to help

Witnesses NEW attitude toward Marijuana!!!

most of us remember the society's viewpoint of using marijuana.

countless of articles condemed the drug saying it was mind altering and allowed a place for the demons.. articles were abundant concerning the greek word "pharmakia"..or druggery and included marijuana as being a part of that.

but alas!

i actually never liked the memorial.

it was`nt a very spiritual occasion at all really.

i hated feeling guilty about not doing the scheduled bible reading.

i asked my uncle elder about the scripture that says; "keep testing to make sure you are in the faith" or something to that effect, to kind of try to explain why i have the audacity to question watchtower doctrine.

his response was something i guess i knew, but had forgotten.."that doesn't mean to keep testing the teachings of the faithful slave, it means that we need to keep testing 'ourselves' to make sure we are still faithful to gods' organization".

i had forgotten the spin on that scripture, and all i could do was shake my head and say "okay, whatever".

If they know and are confident that they have the truth,
why are they scared to discuss questions about their truth?
It reminds me of an accused criminal
who doesn't take the witness stand to defend himself.
If I was innocent of something you couldn't keep me from
