  over the past few days... someone who i'm no longer associated with has been out on vendetta to discredit me.

  it started with a mass mail to my myspace friends, which caused nothing more than a few eyebrows to be raised.

  that was the reaction of people who know me in real life.

  What do you have to aplogise for? Have some self respect.

  Saying sorry means not that I have no self respect. I believe that one should speak if one feels injustice is done.

  And whether RR is right or not ... that thread and others regarding his employment was just ridiculous ... and I said nothing.

  i know some other posters- rollerdave, my uncle, gopher (he visits roller), and my mom, my own soul.

  since she's making a record in delaying posting because she wants to write a novel, i thought i'd get in here and start.

  because they figured nobody would silence them, they would
  develop new family and friends, those in power would not abuse them.
  They were sure of that.

  This place is like a haven when you leave the dubs. But it is a forum, cyberspace ... and however much worth it has .. you must create your own real-life-time haven.

  And freedom of speech is something you excersice. Even if the law, or people say you have it ... you need to excersice that right. And invariable you will find that even in a free country it will not always be okay what you have to say . Freedom is a state of mind.

  i already know jw's believe they are better than everyone else, what with being god's only chosen people and all that.. well, i am sitting at my table, minding my own business.

  there is a group of six jw's at the next table, three adults, three kids.

  JW's - Who Started Smoking Once You Left?

  for those of you who grew up as a jw (or not) you knew what, according to jehovah/wts, was expected of you in terms of strict morals and conduct.

  how many of you never touched a cigarette or smoked while being raised as a jw but suddenly started once you left for various reasons ie just to be rebellious, to fit in with "wordlings", to overcompensate for your restricted youth etc.

  i know i did and it feels great except for the nasty smoke smell.

  I smoked one cigarette when I was booted out of the cult. It was just one of those things that was on my list of things that had to be done that were previously forbidden ...

  Later on, my grandma became very ill and died. My entire family smoked, and it was a stressfull time ... and so I started smoking. I was up for a pack a day. I smoked for four years. Tried to stop several times cuz my then boyfriend hated it.

  Last summer I got an operation to deal with the headaches (my constant companion) and I figured that if this was my last try of being headache free, I better quit all the bad habits that could be contributing to the headache. So I quit cold-turkey.

  Mysterious' xmas!

  my boyfriend and i actually got a tree this year.

  decorated it with blue/purple/silver ball oraments, blue snowflake led lights, white mini lights, tinsel, a blue/silver tinsel garland, purple ribbon, purple tree skirt.

  i was so excited to actually get a tree this year and decorate it like a family.
