ok, the lemonade thread has prompted me to ask does anyone else have any clever and legal ways to pinch pennies, like the guy did with the lemonade?.

I have a system, it's easy but it takes will power. I started saving for my 1st house when I was about 13, 10 years later I had 20% down. (around $30,000)
Personally, I can now save myself 15,000 - 20,000 in 5 years. Which I've started saving about 2 weeks ago and I have 200 in savings already.
Saving money is a part time job - seriously.

last night, my kids had appointments to have their hair cut, i wanted them to look decent before school starts.
as i sat there, realizing i needed one myself, a trim to say the least, i went ahead and asked if she had time for my hair.
thankfully she had the time.

Anyway, I am glad I did it, my brothers laughed and said I looked like I was 17 again.

As she answered with a smile, "You have a good 14 inches to give".
"Go ahead!" I stated.
It was painless, she gave me this long ponytail and said she was proud of me. I planned on doing this for a long time, but never knew when I would have done it. I'm glad, I did it and its going to a good cause. http://www.locksoflove.org/

Yeah, eliminate my happiness. I told my husband before we got married, I am my own person, as he is his. I'm not his mother or authority figure - come home whenever you want, just don't wait up for me! He looked at me puzzled.....he was such a good JW boy....lol

LOL - Swallow .......OK - back to the question. Would I go back to meetings to make him happy? Hell no! I told him, I wasn't going back and if he had a problem, the door was that way. I never hid my EX -JW side from him. I flat out let him know it - he no longer goes either.
Sometimes I feel sorry for my husband, he still has no idea or clue how to handle me - I keep him on his toes. Poor guy.
