What you speak of is selfish, cowardly, and psychologically damaging on so many levels.
I would feel horrible for anyone who made such a decision.

That wouldn't fit my definition of "working".
I would work as hard as I could so long as I felt my wife was working equally as hard.
There's concessions, then there's lost causes. If one side is unwilling to compromise (ie. religion) then that issue has taken priority over the marriage and I would move on.
No I've tried that, as nvr says it is damaging. As they say "definition of stupidity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result"
