  a few years ago they had a similar talk and my mother stopped talking to my sister.

  after a few weeks the sister called and when mom told her my sister said but i love your my mother.

  something to that effect.

  international version 1 cor 5:11. but now i am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler.

  do not even eat with such people.. if shunning is wrong.

  .how does one explain this scripture?.

  this is an older letter i wrote to the gb in october last year in regards to their policy around shunning of dissociated ones.

  the letter doesn't focus on the disfellowshiped, but am in the process right now of writing to them regarding their recent watchtower on shunning disfellowshipped relatives.. the letter i wrote back in october rambles on a bit, but wanted to express my frustration to the governing body about their very unfair policy toward those who simply choose to leave.. regards.

  Now if you really want to cause splash send copy of that letter to all major news outlets with the idea that all Jw do not support across the board shoot first ask questions later mentality of the gb.And unloveing shunning.

  • Great great letter I have sent several myself bUT that was better. Keep in mind the reason for the unloveing phrarisical shunnimg is because of ray Franz incident it's that simple. It is not based on anything scriptual.

  of 8th jan 1947 it states that shunning is a pagan practice and is "all together foreign to bible teaching".. hope this helps some..

  i'm just curious as to how it all happened.. to explain.

  many years back, before ex-jw websites, i called on a local lady in order to design an extension to her already enormous house.

  she was a young, voluptuous gal, married to a much older local business man who spared little expense in order to give his young wife whatever her heart desired.. we chatted for ages.
