as i sit here, holding my precious baby girl, i'm grateful that the blood issue and d'ffing will never come between us.
i'm grateful in the way that i can love my baby unconditionally because this cult won't ever come in between us.
a love much bigger then me that i can't even comprehend but that i can simply take in and enjoy because i was lucky enough to be able to escape!.

since it's father's day i'll devote my little interview with my dad that i filmed back in april for his 85th birthday.
it's about how he stayed honest in the car business for 30 years, and what it did for him.. randy.

What a nice Father's Day gift for your dad. It's so nice that we can do these things with the technology we have today.
That was a very well thought out interview. Your dad is a really great guy. I'll bet he sleeps well at night, too. No guilt for the way he lived and treated people.
Thanks for sharing, Randy.

i do a lot of the grocery shopping for my wife and myself as we live out in the mountains and i stop on the way home from working early morning hours.
there are some things that just drive me bat-$hit crazy sometimes .
i'll name a few- you carry it from there !
You are looking for a parking space in the grocery store parking lot, you see one and start turning into it, only to find someone has left their grocery cart right there. Really drives me nuts.

i retired six months ago and have moved back to florida.
i have a lot of things on my bucket list to do and worrying about jw's is not one of them right now.
i still have a trick or two for jw's up my sleeve, if i get bored with retirement.
Okay, Moshe, cut out that daydreaming. You got work to do.
You know, like get the boat out, clean up your fishing tackle, Put out the hammock.
Enjoy !

Cognac, you have the best reason to be free of the cult....Your baby girl. How can anything top that?

few of my threads get to 3 pages of responses and i suspect that i am the one who pushes it by responding to everyone.
who posts.. but i know people read my posts.. there have certainly been times when i needed the support and got it.
but those times are fewer now.. sometimes i feel like i am repeating myself and i probably am.
Lady Lee, for sure the new people need your expert advice. You really need to be here to help them. That's what us old timers are for.
I don't come on as often as I did, but every once in a while, hopefully, I am able to give some good advice for new people to ingest. And yes, I do repeat myself, because other than a few things I pick up here on this forum, I have done enough research to satisfy my needs. I have all my files, all categorized, too. I can usually dig up what I am looking for.
Not many people respond to my posts either, but I don't care, as long as someone, newbie or oldie, can benefit from the information I have received from this forum and all my research.
If it's any consolation, Lady lee, I think of you often, and I'm happy when I see and read your posts.

edited to add: Mouthy, I am sorry to hear you are still not well enough. I hope you get well soon. I'll ask my wife to say a special healing prayer for you.

ok it's no secret my mother is seriously ill. the neighbors and friends who have grown to love her are constantly asking for updates.
at the end of virtually every conversation is stated, i'll pray for her or some other mention of divine request.. in the other corner are the multitide of jw's i've known and helped over the years.
no mention of prayers.. i know it's obvious but the love from heritics clearly out paces "the friends".. i'm just annoyed that's all.. .
I'm glad to hear the neighbors and friends are being the true Christians. Another strike against the j.w.'s.
Sorry to hear your Mom isn't doing well. I'll have my wife pray for her also, as I think she has some "special conncections" up there. I'm not kidding. May your Mom find peace in all the love around her.

I know two people that actually had Lyme disease. One is my next door neighbor, the other is my best friend. Both had a tough time of it. But, since being tested and diagnosed with Lyme disease, they are doing okay. I don't hink the treatments are bad. i think it is only a shot, or maybe a series of shots. I can find out more if you want me to, unless someone here has more info on it.
You may want to check a site called "www.webmd.org(?), or just type in "webmd" and the site will come up. I think up here in the Northeast, they may check for that more, as it started in Old Lyme, Connecticut, hence the name "Lyme disease", so the doctors are more up on it here.
