hi guys.
due to some positive changes in my life, i won't be reading or posting to the boards much anymore ... if at all.
i may peek in once in a while and drop a line.
Are you implying we don't have a life?? :-)
Good luck.
just wondering!.
i remember when i was about 16 having a snog with a girl who smoked.
it really was like sticking your tongue into an old ash tray.
I'm anti-smoking. I understand people have a desire to smoke and...whatever floats your boat. I just hate the fact that people support an industry that purposely puts high levels off nicotine in their product to get people hooked as quickly as possible. They are not in the tobacco industry, they are in the nicotine delivery industry. It causes cancer and other diseases to the users and those that don't use it but get it second-hand. Nicotine is a legal drug that corporations make millions of dollars off of - they deliberately expose you to harmful chemicals, make a profit and laugh at you when you die from it.
No thank you.
But we're all going to die sooner or later, and I don't really sweat getting second-hand smoke, but it does get annoying in other states where it's okay to smoke in restaurants. I deal with it though.
My ex smoked and it drove me crazy because there were times I wanted to kiss passionately and she had just smoked. Or after we'd have sex she'd get dressed and go outside and smoke when I'd rather lay there and cuddle. It's definitely better for me to be with someone (like I am now) that doesn't smoke.
Comparing that to someone that eats onions...ummm...whatever. Personally, kissing someone that just smoked is worse than kissing someone that just ate onions, but that's my personal tastes.
I don't think it's a healthy habit, but to each his own.
Francois,
I think it's in the genes. You've either got longetivity genes or you don't. If you've got 'em, it hardly matters what you do. If you don't, it hardly matters what you do - you're going to die at your pre-programmed time anyway.
I totally agree.

attention, residents of the usa!
if you have directv you can see the cbc newsworld international broadcasts on directv channel 366 - nwi.
the 5th's estate's show times for the jw abuse issue is .
Jehovah's Witness speaking at a Jehovah's Witness Convention, as was
shown on the Australian Sunday Program "Silent Witnesses" on September
22nd 2002:
"The media out there, with all its power and its might, it presents
human nature in three D's, three D's - debauchery of every kind,
deception of every kind and demonism of every kind - and we need to be
aware of that."
Give me a BREAK! That's awful - I can picture Witnesses in the crowd, nodding their heads, agreeing with every word. Especially when the speaker says it with extra emphasis and raises a fist in the air - the crowd loves that and always applauds.
Sickening.
I hate people that can't stand up and take a punch when they're wrong. I just can't imagine how these people hear of all this going on and don't believe a word of it. They really think all these people that have been abused are angry apostates who have nothing better to do but make up false claims about the organization. That is really frikkin sad.
WAKE UP!!
who do you want to win?
for me, i would have gone for anyone who was against the raiders.
this should be fun.
Raiders. I hate the fans, but the team is strong.
Hopefully I won't get stuck at work. grrrrr.
i got turned on to the info on this site a few months ago, and i'd check it every now and then.
the last time i looked at it, about a week ago, a friend of the person that was the author and host of the site claimed the cia had surrounded his (the authors) house searching for him.
he wasn't there at the time, so i guess they didn't find him.
Hey nakedmvistar, I've noticed a few of your comments on other posts - where do you get your info from? voxnyc had an interesting take, but he should've been a little less aggressive. Too bad.
Shutterbug, yeah, exactly my viewpoint - just confuses me when they don't - I mean, I'd think a person would be prepared to back themselves up before calling someone an idiot for posting an article or making a remark about the info contained within.
Quite amusing indeed.

I don't know.
Honestly, I'm not quite certain what you mean by "mirrored?" Same site at a different address??
i tried to figure out a way to do this anonymously, because i really hate looking stupid.
well, this stupid anyway!
but you see, i'm not really much of an internet person.
I'm not sure how everyone else does it, but the way I figured out is:
Type or cut and paste your paragraph or sentence.
Then start a new paragraph.
Now go back, select your sentence/paragraph, and hit the quote button.
Afterwards, you should be able to click on the spot where you started a new paragraph/sentence and continue typing.
hope that helps!

This site had tons of info on it, claiming the Bush family was behind the attempted asssassination of Reagan, an in-depth look into 9/11, JFK, Osama, etc etc etc.
My question is this: Does the government monitor these sites? Do they view these sites the same way the borg views this one - as angry, misled people who have something against them? Or do they take down some of these sites just as the borg has supposedly sent viruses to "apostate" websites in order to prevent the real truth from surfacing?
Just curious. I try to take research from several resources and compare the facts, and I'm not quite sure how to feel about "conspiracy theories." A lot of them are so far-fetched it's hard to believe they could be true, but some of them you can't help but wonder, and it doesn't help matters that the government has been known to be quite dirty in the past. It's hard to determine whether one should believe the propaganda produced by the corporate media or the loony conspiracy theories put forth by drugged-out hippies.
How do you draw the line? I sincerely want to know because I've been pretty much laughed at for believing information I've learned on conspiracy websites, yet when I ask for proof otherwise I recieve no response. I'm undertaking years of research that I've missed out on from being in the Borg and I want to be able to gain accurate knowledge of the world, therefore I need to know what the best sources are. I'm desperately working towards being able to pursue a college education, but I'm going to have to wait until the fall to do so, so until then I'm making use of the greatest source of informations available, the internet.
So are conspiracy theories all bogus? Any comments on this would be much appreciated.
Sincerely,
back2dafront
