likewise, liquid. yeah, they're cracking down on the scene out here bigtime. A big club in SF recently was shut down cuz the FBI stormed in one night, locked the doors behind them and searched everyone there and found a few people with ecstasy, so they shut down the whole club. What's really crazy is that some people had different kinds of drugs and they weren't arrested - only those w/ E. Go figure.

Thanks. I'm reading up on it now actually. Seems like it's not as cold as people think it is - winters are comparable to winters in NYC. The people work hard and play hard and eat rams balls once a year as a tradition. There are tons of natural hot springs, jacuzzis and saunas, and there's an active night life. Not to mention you could run into Bjork. :-) They have the highest life expectancy in the world as well as the tallest people (on average) in the world. Even the horses live long - 30 years. They are well-versed people that traditionally read a lot of books and read/write poetry. There are a ton of museums taking into account that there are only 250,000 people on the island. They have very clean air and they eat a lot of fish.
I could really dig the place. (besides the eating of rams testicles of course)
:-)

nice article. puts things in perspective. all of this reminds of the verse in the Bible that talks about how man cannot direct his own step. This world is doomed.
back to the North Korea subject - WHAT IS THEIR DEAL? They say they only want to use the nuclear reactor as a source of power, yet they remove the UN cameras. Who knows how much of the story the media is capturing correctly, but still...
CRAZY TIMES. When I was a kid and read articles in the Awake! about nuclear war, it never seemed realistic. Even in recent years I never thought the threat of a nuclear war would ever materialize. Crazy how quickly things change.

We do not have any utopian government on this planet, and we can choose where to live. Just where do YOU live, by the way? If you live in the USA and hate it so much, then get the fuck out of here and move to Cuba. Or North Korea. Or even worse than those two places: move to Paris.
The typical last resort I-have-nothing-better-to-say response.
Personally I'd be a lot happier freezing my balls off in Iceland amongst beautiful, open-minded people than around here, surrounded by patriotic, arrogant snobs who think their shit smells better than the rest of the worlds.
Farkel, earlier you stated there are things about America you don't like either and now you're blasting Emiliano for stating the things he doesn't like about it. Seems a bit hypocritical to me.
I'm having a bad day - maybe I should refrain from taking it out on others.

Death Penalty

If there's no question whatsoever of the persons guilt, I see nothing wrong w/ the death penalty. But if there's any chance someone on death row could be innocent, either change the sentence to life or extend the date in order to have a re-trial. Same difference really.
The part that disturbs me about the article is that he let 4 guys go free, but it doesn't talk about what evidence surfaced that proved their innoncence. Seems shady to me.

Brooklyn Assembly Hall
by worf ini have been told that the brooklyn assembly hall located on flatbush avenue in brooklyn new york and otherwise known as the albemarle theatre, has been sold.. has anyone else heard this?
can anyone here confirm this?.
thanks for any info.. worf

Anyone have any confirmation on the sale of this Assembly Hall or any other ones in the area?
If it's true I'm tripping on how quickly they're pulling out of NYC. It's one thing to move the printing facilities elsewhere due to cost, but why sell the Assembly Halls???
Either they
- Anticipate lawsuits due to the blood issue and/or paedophilia.
- Are seeing a drastic decrease in donations and members.
- Are led by Freemasons and therefore are aware of a plot to nuke NYC, and want to get as much monetary assets out of harms way before D-day - they of course couldn't sell everything because that would be too obvious after the fact.
- or none of the above.
What say?

Liquidsky,
Finally, someone that listens to ELECTRONIC MUSIC. :-P
Although I'm not a big fan of trance, you still get props, especially for listing Mark Farina! :-) I've seen him a few times and just got Mushroom Jazz 4 on VINYL.
The only trance I dig is Digweed. I like his deep, dark style....decent stuff.
late,

Yizuman,
hang in there buddy. things will get better.
Reborn,
Are you SERIOUS about the whole WTC thing? That's CRAZY. I remember everytime my parents would relate something like that I'd always think to myself, "maybe it was God's protection, but maybe it was just PURE LUCK."
For instances like this, my dad's typical response would be "Well, you never know, son. We don't know how Jehovah operates - this could've been his way of giving a Witness to thousands of people that will hear of this incident."
I'd stare out the window, wondering how one could speculate in such a manner. Try saying that to the poor man's family - I'm sure they're quite grateful God chose their father/husband to sacrifice for a Witness to the rest of the world.

Can the US police the whole world?
by JH ineven if the united states is the only superpower, can it really make war with iraq, and tackle north korea, and keep an eye on china, and other countries at the same time?
why does the us always have to take care of troubled spots all over the world by itself?
why can't japan and south korea take care of the north korean crisis?
