can someone explain to me what this quote really means?
i still don't quite understand how the oil business works - i don't get how falling oil prices would effect russia's economy - seems like it would be the opposite??
also, some have argued that the war w/ iraq is not about oil - does this support this or argue against it or have no relevance?

With war on the horizon once again, Russia wants assurances that military action in Iraq won't jeopardize its economic interests with Baghdad or drop oil prices so low that it hurts Moscow's already ailing economy.
Though there was little talk about the issue Friday, Bush has assured Putin he will do what it can on both counts, administration officials said. They said Moscow may be overestimating America's influence in a postwar Iraq.
Putin fears that lifting the U.N. trade sanctions on Iraq after a war could trigger an influx of Western oil interests that would collapse oil prices. The administration officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Russia has been told the United States cannot control oil markets, but Bush has long supported efforts to keep oil prices stable.

yo wiz, it IS racist for a black person to say that. I don't think people think of that or realize it, but in my opinion it's the same damn thing.
JW's, a white religion? Founded by a white person, but I wouldn't classify it as a "white" religion, for they whole-heartedly accept any person, regardless of nationality.
JW's, a black religion? Hardly. The person that said this was obviously in a predominantly black area.
I wish people focused more on Michael's talent than his looks. Yeah, he looks WAY weird, but there's a deep story behind his actions, as we've seen here. He has been an amazing performer throughout the years, and his unpopularity now is highly due to his looks unfortunately. Welcome to the music biz - looks sell now, whatever happened to true musicianship? The talented bands/performers are growing more and more rare....
i do not have my bible on hand so i do not remember the exact scripture that says "jehovah will ruin those ruining the earth..." (isaiah something...) .
if witnesses took this scripture as literal as "abstain from blood" there wouldn't be very many survivors of armegeddon.
turning the key to your automobile ruins the atmosphere - we've all contributed to the ruin of our earth unfortunately - not because we intend to really, it's just the way it goes due to modern technology.
Thanks.
I'm using this as an example in my letter to my dad to argue against taking every word in the Bible so literally. They don't apply this one literally, so why apply "abstain from blood" so literally? Or not eating with unbelievers?
Can't wait to read his response.
after reading about how we now have an increase in the lord's organization, i must wonder whether we think that their data is reliable.
the society has used "theocratic stratergy" for years and lied about anything that is in their best interests.
why take any stock in what they say about anything.
Swan/Tammy,
Was that a joke or are you for real? Just curious.

.
has anyone seen the new figures in the jan 1st watchtower - i have.
what do you think about them?.
I evidently missed this 15-minute rule - what's it all about?
front page
the roving eye
" "second-rank" operatives arrived in the past five years and "have no idea about the plans".
Very good question - it's going to be interesting to see what happens after the next attack(s). Hopefully it won't be anything like what's mentioned in this hoax. Maybe the USA would turn on the Arab-Americans in the country....??
What's interesting is that there's no info on the history of this hoax - it just simply states it's a hoax. It's a hoax say's who? The government who is petrified of the public finding out 10 major cities have nukes waiting to be exploded?
Who knows. Hoax or not, it's one hell of a plan - I hope the authorities can thwart the efforts of the next attack, cuz lord knows they're planning one....
You guys are LAME. The guy researches quotes and you shoot them down because they're not quotes from people you FEEL are valid enough?!?!
You're the type of people that only hear what you want to hear. Anything contrary to your believes or feelings you immediately shoot it down.
You put all your trust in GEORGE BUSH and POWELL, as if they're perfect and would never EVER tell a lie to the world.
What's so difficult about recognizing the good and bad things of America? That's all this about. Shoot, I like Lenny Kravitz, but I think some of his music is lame at the same time. And, in person, he's very arrogant. So I can see how some people like him and some don't, or others, like myself, recognize the good and bad.
Unless any of you can prove any of the quotes to be false or taken out of context, you have no right to talk negatively of them or the poster. If you want to live in your "America is Perfect" fantasy land, feel free, but don't criticize the rest of us that like to be informed of what's really go on in the world, past and present.
I wish people on this board would learn how to disagree with or challenge posts in a less aggressive manner.
