Oh yeah! I belonged to an Air Heritage foundation that regularly flys a C123. This old Thunder Pig has been used in quite a few movies and also takes the members to various air shows. Does this mean that my association with this airplane and museum ties me in to covert activities that took place in Central America or any other country where C123's were used?

i know this is slightly off-topic but i find alot of the discussion here somewhat depressing and most of it is far too cerebral for me.

i (obviously) live in america and i'm a big fan of beer.

light, dark, lager, ale, whatever.

I used to say that I would never remarry. That was until two years ago when someone came into my life that I thought was the onewho would be with me always......someone I could spend the rest of my years with. The romance part of it didn't last but we are still friends..........long distance friends.

As for my life today, I wouldn't mind meeting that someone special, but as to go as far as marriage......probably not. If it didn't work out and she wanted out, there goes half of everything I have.

But I'll never say never.

This was many years before I finally got out.......but back in the 1980's I loved Bob Seeger and the Silver Bullet Band.

These verses kept playing over and over in my mind from his song "Runnin Against The Wind" and that was.............................

"surrounded by strangers I thought were my friends" and "Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then."

Against the wind. I'm still runnin' against the wind.

I'm older now but still runnin' against the wind.

The rest of the song had nothing to do with my state of mind, but these verses were like a hammer in my head because I was so unhappy as a JW.

My mom is stepping up her not-so-subtle mind games with kids.

my mom and her new husband (robo-elder with gb connections) have been trying to undermine us as parents so i have been on the offensive stopping it.

we recently left to another state to get away from the jws.

she has been sending letters to my oldest daughter about the assembly.

Yesterday we got a big collage of pictures from where they live. She sends them from time to time to let us know how much "fun" they are having and they wish we were there. One of the collages is of the district convention (yuck!). She put the convention program in the collage too and highlighted the part on "Avoiding an independant spirit" and also put the tract in the collage that they distributed before the convention - and in the little coupon on the back for a FREE HOME BIBLE STUDY she put my daughter's names and address in it!
There were also pictures of their newly remodeled home office and all the pictures of family members were there - except our family.

I take it that you are scanning these letters since you said "she will not get the letter til she is older." Why not have your daughter send a letter back stating how much fun she is having in the new location and how much happier she is now, along with a ton of pictures of all the things she is now doing and enjoying.

Then she should put in the letter how bad she feels that grandma doesn't seem to love her anymore because she doesn't have pictures of your family. Throw some guilt to grandma.
