when i first heard the book study rumor, i figured there was a great chance it was just someone's speculation, and everyone running with it.

i told my wife, and given the huge news, i was skeptical, and really hoped it wasn't all a lie.

then i hear of people who have talked to po's, elders, and even saw a letter (which i hoped wasn't fabricated).

How the new "generation" study went down in the meeting today

i made a big effort to get to the watchtower study today.

i have not been to the meetings much for months, but i figured this was a pretty historic "study" and i wanted to see reactions and how it would go down locally.

well a few things struck me as a bit odd in the study itself, and in the audience response as well.

I suppose the calculation may have been made thatit would be better not to confuse these new believers by informing them that until recently the Watchtower itself was promising the end would come within the lifetime of the 1914 generation. And for those Witnesses who have been around long enough to know all about it, perhaps it was figured best not to remind them of the disappointment explicitly.

This should read:

hey yall, i was thinking of the watchtower/un scandal the other day and came up with this analogy.

so far on here ive heard the ymca and the vatican analogies, which i like also.

mine goes like this.. .

Having any kind of affiliation with this beast will result in death during Armageddon or face disfellowshipping from the group,

The WT is the biggest hypocrit on the face of this earth, aside from being liars.

it says in the 2005 un accreditation form "in 2002 we instituted the review process for ngos associated with dpi".

now on the un website it says "resolution e/1996/31 adopted in july 1996 to replace resolution 1296 of may 1968 rules the current arrangements for consultation with non-governmental organizations.
