I can relate to the nightmares. No longer afraid of Armageddon. Whatever happens happens.
A dub is a Jehovah Witness (dub=W..get it??)

okay, my mom is elderly (80 yrs.
old) and not able to get to all the meetings like she used to (which is definitely a plus for me!
btw shes living with me now, since last spring, cause shes not able to keep up with things anymore).
You don't have to say ANYTHING more about it....she already knows. Little old women are very wise and God works in mysterious ways.

unless you are famous for something how long are you really remembered?.
maybe you are remembered at most by your grandchildren, but then your presence in the universe is gone.. so, really, what difference does it make whether you die in your 40's or your 70's, your memory simply lingers another 30 years at most.
My Aunt killed herself when she was 12 years old. When i see pictures of her,,,i can tell she was a loving sensitive person. I know it sounds strange that i never met her and yet i miss her. I just wish she had made the right descision and stayed around. I will always remember her ( My mom tells me wonderful stories about her) If i ever have children i will pass it on to them and they will pass it on ...so I believe her memory will live on forever.
it was only the 70s that smoking was banned wasn't it?
so i was wondering of anyone has any pictures of and of the watchtower leaders smoking before that.

Smoking pales in comparison to the crimes commited by Russell....I guess child molest is a tradition with these people!

it seems to me that in the u.s. most anything religious is always considered a good thing.
nearly all media go out of their way for religious organizations in ways they rarely would for anything else.
for all the religion bashing whining that the christians do in this country, i rarely see anything in public that bashes religion any more than anything or anyone else.

we've just been watching an absolutely heart wrenching documentary on itv about a little girl with a very rare disease (progeria) which makes her age prematurely at 10 times the normal rate.
she will be like an old woman by the time she is 10.. they have a meet-up where the little kids with the same condition can play and have fun together and seeing their poor little faces looking so happy is a wonder to behold.
i guess it's easy to forget that inside they are still really little kids.
I have been thinking along those lines lately when i saw a show about people that have a rare flesh eating disease. We all get so selfish and self absorbed with our little worlds that we forget that there are people with real problems.
I now believe in a loving God ( thought he was a mean God when i was a JW)
I feel God has something extra special waiting for these poor souls.
