For Comic Relief I would love to see Hillary Clinton and Bush go at it in 2004.
If that were the case, no one would vote for any party. They'd vote any third party shmuck into office.

my reason: clinton was quoted recently as saying that "strong and wrong always beats weak and right".
i remember during the run up to election in 2000 watching the bush vs. gore debates and thinking..i know gore is smarter but he comes across as weaker in debate.

Had the same thing happen to me, only it was on my company's corporate card, of all things. They're sure it wasn't me, because the purchases were made in Turkey! Yes, not the gobbler, but the country, in the Hazzim cafe, or something like that, I kid you not. Around 700$ worth of fraud.
I have absolutely no idea how they got the credit card #.

How would we recognise Christ's return? (serious question)
by UpAndAtom inhe couldn't come back as black, because then the whites wouldn't trust not identify with him.
he couldn't come back as white, because the blacks wouldn't trust him.
if he appeared in china or asia (the west wouldn't accept him) and visa versa.. has anyone considered the possablity that a meeting is currently taking place in heaven, and god, jesus and a few good spirits are sitting around trying to figure out the best way to positively influence us?

Personally, I think that a black man has a much better chance. I too would have voted for Colin Powell had he ran. And Frank's right, Hilary is a moron. Can't believe she got into the New York seat for the senate.
Still, I think most people would vote for any person, given that they have a sound platform.

I can only think of one person on this earth who I hate that much. My terribly abusive, hateful, miserable, JW mother-in-law. She has tortured her husband, family, friends, anyone and everyone she could possibly screw with. She belongs in a mental institution, but because she is so conniving, they would never be able to prove that she belongs there.
I wouldn't lift a finger to help her, ever.

Marrying Young
by Descender insomething has been bothering me as of late.
my younger brother, who is 17 years old plans on getting married right after he turns 18 this upcoming year.
i have quite a few problems with this, but he thinks that he knows it all at his age.. i'm concerned for several reasons.

Well, to quote Rear Window.
"When my husband and I were married, we were a couple of maladjusted mistfits. We're still a couple of maladjusted misfits, and we've loved every minute of it."
That's how my wife and I feel. We were married at 18, and 19 respectively, eight months separating our birthdays. We heard all of the dire warnings, all of the terrible consequences in store for us, and.......none of those horrible things happened. We'll have been married five years in october, and we've loved every minute of our marriage. Life is good.
Still, we were subtly breaking away from the JWs at the time, so the religion was no longer in the equation. I too, even with my background, think that this marriage could very well lead to disaster and misery, simply because of the fact that these are not even normal kinds marrying each other(which is in itself a terribly difficult thing to manage), but JW kids, which is a whole 'nother animal.
Poor kid. He needs to better himself first, before he goes exploring the uncharted waters of a 'lifetime' commitment. (Haven't seen too many witness marriages end well recently)
