this might be funny to some people but i really feel that the reason that jw's and born again christians hate each other so much is because they are so much alike.
they see themselves in each other.
i have been on both sides of the spectum and believe me all of the born-agains that post on this site are more like jw's then they want to admit to themselves.
Born-Agains who were previously JW's must be born fools, otherwise, how could that kind of lightening strike twice?

if you saw a serious car accident, and people were trapped in the car, or unconscious in the wreck, would you try to get them out even if the car was on fire and could explode at any moment?.
coming back from quebec city today, i saw a car or truck in the ditch upside down and with lots of smoke coming out of the wreckage.
4 or 5 cars were stopped near by to look at the accident.
As long as it was humanly possible to help, I would. If it was already hopeless, I'm not sure how much of a help I could be, but I would certainly help in any way I could, even if it was just to comfort the injured.

The contents of the PM are the issue. Josh still hurts bad about what happened to him, and he wrote this thread to get some perspective and a little comfort. And then, NG, in a very unsentimental PM, hurts Josh, demeans all the pain he's been through. She tells him he needs a reality check. WHAT!?!?!?!
Why don't you tell that to an abuse survivor and see what you get?
If she didn't have anything nice to say, then.....
