I hate cooking. My wife hates cooking. We use the slow cooler for easy meals. This sounds easy and I'm intrigued. The pics look great!

Anyone Tried "Sous Vide" Cooking?
by Simon ini like a nice steak but cooking one can be a little intimidating and the results hit and miss especially when it comes to getting the right temperature so getting it wrong can be an expensive mistake.
can anyone do that "finger and thumb together to check the doneness" thing?
i can't .... so i came across this cooking technique called "sous vide" which cooks food (in a sealed vacuum bag) in a warm water bath, even steak.

I've wondered who or what is behind it. Someone is getting some money. The morons at the top aren't smart enough to produce some of the spin and the new rebranding efforts over the past years. There has to be someone else running it and the Elite Eight are just figureheads. I'm sure they believe their own bull, and I've never been one for conspiracy theories or anything, but there has to be someone else pulling some strings there that benefits. I once thought they were just captives of a concept themselves, but there are too many lies that have to be deliberate and the new marketing efforts and such are beyond ol' rubberface and tight pants.

Funeral/Memorial at the Kingdom Hall ... Would you go?

My dad died 6 months after we disassociated. While it hurt not to even be invited to his memorial, though my mom called to see if my name and my wife's could be used in the talk as who he was survived by, I don't think I would have gone anyway. I could maybe go into a random KH for a meeting out of morbid curiosity, but not somewhere where I had to be shunned and people knew me. Nope, not going to subject myself to that.

This moron can't see the difference in a legal system that takes action and gets people on offender registries and puts people in prison that does let some slip through the cracks and his beloved cult that at best takes the action of disfellowshipping someone and only protecting their own while ignoring many instances with archaic two witness rules and actively recruiting from prisons. They actively discourage many from going to authorities that can actually investigate and that are trained in favor of window cleaners getting nosy into things that are way above their pay grade.
And you wonder why we sometimes tell you to fuck off. This is the work of a troll. This is the work of someone that cannot have an honest discussion. This is the work of a spin doctor. This is the work of someone with a very sick mind that at best is more concerned with comparing his cult to any organization he can find with a similar problem rather than holding god's one and only chosen organization to a higher standard. That hurts Doubter, that really hurts, lol. You really know how to shoot straight to the heart.
Look, the goal of these trolls is simply to waste your time and likely to count theirs. They obfuscate, deflect, and I've often wondered if they test new rebuttals and diversions in conversations like this. I don't know if they waste their time for their own edification, and I'm not normally a conspiracy guy, but I kind of wonder if the cult themselves doesn't send these people to test things that they might use.
Most of them will tell you nothing about themselves. They don't post in much of anything personal either, like they have commands not to interact at that level. They just post in anything about the organization, and they LOVE child abuse posts. They are often robotic in affect or angry, rarely much in between, and the robo-dubs post here for a season and disappear. There are patterns to their posts, they are obvious to spot, and they get super whiny if they can't keep you engaged. Obvious trolls are obvious. They won't answer direct questions about their feelings on child sexual abuse but rather they'll usually deflect, or just disappear on threads which earns them nicknames like Ducker. These robodubs are either just obsessive types or sent by the cult themselves. It's a fascinating foray into humanity, or lack thereof, though.
