Anyone ever know gays in the hall that are lying to them selfs or others?

i know of three situations i saw myself.

the first one was when i lived in arcadia.

all the people i use names on are dead and gone so no probs.

I don't care about carpentry and do enjoy a nice botanical garden yet I'm somehow not gay. Imagine that. I have a feeling that this thread is more about latent trolling than sincere questioning. Sometimes former dubs leave the cult but the views of the cult toward certain people may stick with them.

It must have been incredibly difficult to grow up gay on the cult. My next podcast is actually about that. An effeminate male may be gay, others may not, still others just have a fucked up view of masculinity.

we received a e-mail from him tonight where he apologized to us for shunning us all these years, how bad he felt for doing this.

alright, many of you know me from the this jw life and shunned podcasts along with my inane ramblings on here.

i just made my first video and put myself out there on youtube along with my podcast episodes that are on there now.

i put my podcast audio up on there as videos and new people are subscribing and finding it through that.

Thanks ladies and gents. I hope that by doing these videos I can help more people in that way too and draw in more listeners to the podcast. Maybe encourage someone else to jump in with my own low quality and lowered expectations, lol. I need to do something to make the audio clearer, a project for the next video, but my first podcast episodes weren't my best and still had an impact. It's all a learning process but just putting myself out there was probably the biggest hurdle.

Get you one of those fun emoji masks and do your video behind the mask. Nobody will know who you are.

Or here's an idea. It is intimidating to jump out there on video. So start with audio, like I did. When I was young I did telemarketing and found it way easier than face to face. Come on my podcast and tell your story. I even give you a questionnaire to help shape the episode. Now your voice is put there, so what's left but a beautiful face and viola, YouTube superstar. I could have you on and announce your new YouTube channel at the same time for people to check you out.

Or, like you said, post videos semi-private at first to get a feel for it. If I can do it, you can too. You want to. Ask yourself, "what is preventing me from getting on YouTube" and then go find an Ethiopian eunuch to produce your show. :)

Oh, and my cameraman was a tripod. The audio sucked (in my standards) and I wasn't pleased with the auto focus but I now busted through with my first video. I can work on those things little by little. I've already heard from people. Now, I have an audience already so that helps, but everyone starts somewhere. If one person listens and finds commonality you've done more than billions of hours spent by the cult knocking on doors.

Lol Joho, I literally have that exact car sitting outside. It's a sign from Jehovah. The time is right! Close your eyes and jump. The worse that can happen is what? You don't enjoy it and stop? You take your channel down? I bet you could do a basic intro video and have it up in the next 24 hours and post it up on here.

Not that I'm giving you a challenge or anything. ;)

New brother to have a bible study with

well i moved to a new congregation, and i have no one to study with and i didnt have a bible study in weeks and i was loving but one meeting my aunt said ''im going to set up a bible study with brother bob (dont his name)''.well come to find out brother bob is a man that puts a lot of pressure on you to join the school etc.. well right now im like fuck,because i dont know how to deal with brother bob so i just wanted to know if any could help me..

I hate the pressure they put on kids. I'm pretty sure that's what "undue influence" is all about. I recently interviewed a girl that was in a congregation of 15 in a small town that would be left in a car with a pushy elder while her mom and a sister went on studies and he'd just grill her for years on the baptism questions and ask her why she wasn't getting baptized if she could answer them. It's so unfair.

@Akid - I don't know any easy answers here. OTWO has some good suggestions. Only you know how far you can push things and what the consequences will be. You may have to play along to make things easy on yourself if these people are harsh, or you may be able to just say no to everything if they're laid back. Sorry man, it sucks.
