i am really new in this forum so i hope to enjoy all of your companion...i saw a picture in a watchtower article and i just want to see if my mind is playing games...i would like to see your opinion on a strange picture i caught on the watchtower article on page 10 of the 3/15 issue.unfortunately i do not have a scanner so i will try to be as best descriptive as possible...page 10 has 4 sets of pictures...in the picture down right there is a pole of either greek or roman influence...i can see 3 faces on the top part of that pole...2 human and 1 animalistic (possibly a horse)...is another "coincidence"?
?this whole subliminal thing is really getting weird...i would like to hear opinions about the specific photo since its relatively new and in general about these "strange" "coincidences".

Most expectant mothers and fathers can't make out the image of their own baby in the sonigram pic either. But it is still there. The doctor or nurse usually has to point out the features of what they should be looking for before the parent has an idea of what they are seeing.

See I can feel irritation already in myself, and thats what I've done so many times before, feel irritated that I know how I feel, but can't get others to feel how I feel. Does that make sense?
Believe when I say I am not baiting you and I am not making light of what you feel, because those feelings in you are very real and I respect them. The affection you feel for the organization is a bit queer to me, and I don't understand it. I do still have affection for individuals I know in the organization, however, everything the organization really stands for is something that irritates me. Interesting.
Feeling irritated that you cannot get another to feel the way that you feel can be understood or interpreted by some to mean that you might have control issues. Maybe I am not reading you correctly, but when you become upset because you can't get another to see or feel like you, it seems to be subject to the unhealthy practice of wanting or trying to control others.
I like you Scoob, so this is not a challenge or a dig. I am really trying to understand.
Is it that you feel that you have some kind of insight that has helped you and you just wish you could give others the key to feeling better by taking on the same perspective as you? By giving it more of a posative meaning so that they/others can move on? Is it kind of like that?

One of my favorite "genre" of art is "allegory", the reprentation of religious themes. The "art work" used in the Watchtower is of high quality. I have had the opportunity(through friends that were Witnesses) to visit the Societies "art department" and see how the pictures/paintings were produced in Patterson, New York.
Although the articles repeat themselves and are at about a Middle School reading level, the "Art Work" they use is definately at a College Level, showing a high level of skill!
Yes, some of the artwork is rather good and does show skill on the part of the artist. It wasn't always thus, and for the most part, the art work was really terrible.

doodle-v's thread regarding our own ypa questions got me thinking about this.
recall when we were past the "bloom of youth", and we could start the dating process (with only the possibility of marriage in mind, of course).
i was reminded again and again to look for that brother who possessed "spiritual qualities", ie, who could take the lead, had the goal of becoming a pioneer, or already was a pioneeer, etc.
Good looks and physical beauty are not the thing, but I just seem to be lucky enough to have a good looking woman, yayyyy for me. It's just sort of nice to not mind looking at the one you are married to.
1. She accepts me just the way I am and never demands that I change for her. (She knew me and how I was before we got married, so she should have said it wouldn't work before we said "I do". Too late and tough shyte.)
2. She does not impose upon me the burden or responsibility of making her happy when she was not ever happy to begin with. Jeezes, that's alot to ask of another human being. "Hey you! Loser! Make me happy!" That marriage pospect is a pain in the arse and will never ever ever ever be happy no matter what I do. That's not my job and goes along with number 1. I really love the fact that she is simply happy being with me.
3. Really really good sex goes here.
4. Ability to communicate which does not require me to read her mind.
i am new here and i have never been a jw, however by boyfriend has been one for most of his life.
he is now kicked out of the church.
i have to deal with his pain over the experiences he tells me about in regard to his association with this church and i don't know how to help him.
