  Support Our Troops Rally, Duluth, MN pics

  today my daughter and i went to a support our troops rally held on by lake superior in duluth mn.

  it was the most awe inspiring event i have been to in a long time.. over 3000 people attended.

  national talk show host, glenn beck was flown in to speak along w/many other speakers.

  Some of you may be glad to hear that one of those not wanting to have a war just threw some granades into a few tents... US Soldier... 101st Airborn... in Kuwait.

  I wonder if he will live thru the night? I hope not.

  i'm watching protesters in ny running away from cops.

  why dont todays protesters have the strength of their convictions?

  not one out of hundreds stood their ground w/ the police chasing them.

  We parked in all the metered spots, 4 or 5 to a spot.... illegal at the time. We infringed on the capitol workers parking spaces, because we beat them to it.

  Simon, let me try to explain things from my point of view....

  I can disagree with you and state my disagreement without using emotional adjectives, just straight non-judgemental opinion.

  Or, I can call you a moron, Bush-robot, or any number of degrading names.

  I choose to NOT call names, it isnt my style and would make me look like a baby. Many others dont take this path and that is too bad for them.

  While this site is owned and hosted out of the USA, I would guess that the majority here are USA citizens (tho many of them dont seem proud of that fact). Out of those citizens, many are veterens, like myself, and take what we percieve as "USA bashing" very personally. Whether or not we "like" our President, we do respect the office and would not consider refering to Mr. Bush as many of the names called here on this site.

  Maybe I just need a break from reading here. Maybe another option for a venue until things sort out is needed, for me anyhow.

  I dont "purpose" anything....

  But, I would propose that the protest organizers take this into consideration when getting thier permits. A large, overflow, crowd might upset traffic by means of its size. But, people purposely jumping in front of cars, like in San Fran, is wrong. Several found out when the dude jumped out of his car and kicked ass.....
