Any PUBLICATION say that heavens doors were closed in 1935 ???
by run dont walk inthis seems to be jw belief, and only because rutherford said so in a talk, are there any publications that actually say that heavens doors were closed in 1935 ???
and any kind of references ???.
with the annoited class (pre 1935) getting smaller and smaller, i think in about 50 years the watchtower will have 144,000 replacements, how will they rectify this goof ???.

"A Text without a Context, is a Pretext"
by rockhound inan old saying that must be drilled into the brain of every christian is "a text, without a context, is a pretext" reading the context, context, context, is a must do for all, in order to find out who?, what?, when?, where?, and why?.
we all learned these basis rules in english class, back in our school years.. the watchtower society has endlessly used scriptural quotes from 1 john, 2 john, and 3 john about the "antichrist" and applied these text to those who question the teachings of the society, and even though their faith in jehovah god and his son christ jesus was then, and is still, as strong as ever.
never the less, on went the lable "apostate" and friendships, and family were torn apart, and in many cases terminated.. who were the ones labled "antichirst"?

Is the "Good News" really about 1914?
by rockhound in"the good news" that jehovahs witnesses preach from door to door, world wide, has a definite theme that is different than "the good news" preached by the churches of christendom.
"let the honest-hearted person compare the kind of preaching of the gospel done by the religious systems of christendom during all the centuries with that done by jehovah's witnesses since the end of world war i in 1918. they are not one and the same kind.
that of jehovah's witnesses is really "gospel" or "good news," as of god's heavenly kingdom that was established by the enthronement of his son jesus christ at the end of the gentile times in 1914.

Will the Real "Great Crowd" Please Stand Up!!!
by rockhound inin doing some research on the "great crowd" or "great multitude", i found some interesting watchtower articles that brought to the fore a very thought provoking question for all jehovahs witneses.
please follow the paper trail.. the watchtower of may 15,1995,p.20
18 in 1935 a bright flash of light revealed that the great crowd mentioned at revelation 7:9-17 was not a secondary heavenly class.

Makes You Wonder!!!
by rockhound inin yesterday's study article "finding one pearl of high value" par.13 the society uses the vine's expository dictionary of old and new testament words as a authoritative source to add weight to the meaning of the word "press" and pressing forward.
next they refer to the bible scholar heinrich meyer and quoted his thoughts on matthew 11:12. just who is this bible scholar ?
a little research drew my attention to the watchtower's official web site, and at the end of their article on "should you pay your taxes?

Study conductor claims the "WTS is not the FDS"...and other JW affirmations
by M.J. ini am currently following the ongoing saga of a person who is studying to be a jw and her unbelieving husband's attempts to sway her in this endeavor.
he has gotten her to read cofc and she's halfway through it, but nonetheless, she remains bound to the jws and wants to continue her persuit.
he has tried to call into question that the wts could have been appointed by jesus as the "faithful, discreet slave", but the person she is studying with flat out told her that jws do not believe that jesus chose the wts as the fds and, that they don't believe that they are the one chosen religion/church.
