This leaflet is designed to help medical staff care for JW's and one assumes that the site was also a back-up to that.
So if the loving organization cares sooo much where has this site gone and why no links to a new one if it has been replaced?
Does anyone know anything about this?

Did you ever fake field service?
by LyinEyes ini know this was very wrong to do , but who out there stretched their field service time by any means possible?
example, letter writing, driving by the same house , when you knew no one was home.
let's be honest here, confess and get it off your chest.... lol

No never faked it was to honest/gullible, but I can remember a family who used to start their time at permanent NH just a few doors away from where they lived. They could the count their 30-40 mins travelling time to the FS group and of course the journey home when they called again.
They had been calling on this house for years so I assume an elderly resident was in a home.
This was an elders family so they were truly setting an example, I should have followed them. -

their resoning is that a catholic person could be in the paradise.
ok if a catholic person can inherit the earth and a jw can inherit the earth, what the hell does it matter?

If they dont believe they are the only religon that is right and the only ones to be saved why do they call it 'THE TRUTH'?

My son contemplates suicide.
by dmouse inmy 14 year old son, benjamin, confided in me last night that he almost tried to commit suicide this week, he felt so low.. he has been brought up as a jw by his mum all his short life and until recently totally believed all the crap.
although he has not been baptised yet he expressed the desire to pioneer and go to bethel.. then, in the past few months, he suddenly woke up and smelt what he was shovelling.. my son is an extremely gregarious, likable boy with lots of friends in the congregation.
he is always invited to the get-togethers etc.

Yes your son needs lots of help both professionally and from those of his family who still love him unconditionally.
Does he still want to go to the meetings?
If not is it possible to get an agreement from your wife not to take him?
We were able to get a legal undertaking from my ex sil that my gchild would not be involved in any JW activities when she is in his care even prayers at mealtimes and 'incidental' witnessing by other relatives etc. Could you do anything like this.
We also got a report from a psychiatrist which was given to the judge showing what a detrimental effect the dub teaching could be on a child.
Maybe its time to take the gloves of to protect your precious son.

Hi everyone
I do post sometimes and read a lot.
I am sure that many find that life is just too hectic even though most of us no longer go to 5 meetings a week.
I have to agree with what Steven said about adjusting to life outside the borg, it can and does take a lot of emotional and mental energy.
We have been out for about 2 years having been in for about 18 and there aren't many days without JW related discussions.Please feel free to email me anyone.

Strange times on the ministry
by sleepy inhere are a couple of experiences i had while on the ministry.
one day we were working one of those inter city streets in britain that contain enormous victorian houses long since unaffordable and to big for people to live in nowadays, which are divided up into as many flats as the landlord can imagine possible.. usually you find the outcasts of humanity lurking their.
which always made them more exciting to do than suburban boring normality.. i rang the bell on one of these houses and offered the mags to a young man in his twenties.

thats weird.
The only things I can think of at the moment are the number of times I dreaded being offered a cup of tea as the people that tended to invite us in often had rather peculiar standards of cleanliness.
I can remember picking dogs hairs off my cup etc yuck.
Still at least they where being truly hospitable maybe more so than most of the dubs. -
