  My only Easter Memory..

  because i was raised a jw, for the most part i wasn't allowed to participate in any holidays.

  dad didn't study when mom did, so there was a little lattitude but not much.

  he pretty much let my mother raise us and handle the religion side of life and rules that went with it.. .

  sassy i am so sorry for your horrible easter incident

  i remeber when i was 10 i had a pet chicken it was very tame and i enjoyed caring for it

  one day i came home from school to supper

  my dad said guess what we are having??

  he thought it was quite funny but i was heartbroken

  Went To The Quick Build

  i just returned from the building site of the new kh.

  i had never seen a quick build.

  it kind of made me sad, i saw so many old friends that i used to know.

  i actually forgot it was easter this weekend.

  someone mentioned it yesterday, and i was pretty embarassed to have missed that little line on my calendar.

  oh, well; since we are not practicing any religion and feel no more affinity toward christianity than toward, say, sikhism, i felt no ache in not partaking in the bunny-rabbit traditions.

  the biggest thing i never understood about the jw religion was the grand scheme of things.

  satan and jehovah will battle at armageddon, and jehovah will win.

  now, if satan is a spirit creature who was created perfect, who the hell is jehovah to say that he's going to win?

  Did The "Ressurection Hope" Keep You Involved As A Witness?

  i know a number of persons that remained as jws because they desperately wanted to see their loved ones come back from the grave and be there to welcome them.

  they were afraid that if they died at armageddon or were not totally faithful that there would be a great possibility of never seeing them again........was that "ressurection hope" a big draw for you remaining a witness?

  When my sister died at 6 months my mother fell into her crib crying

  a sister told her to pull herself together as by her behavior she was showing she didnt believe in the resurrection

  my mother waited for 86 years

  and then she died
