After much research, I still can't go back to believing in...
by berylblue in...the trinity.
or that jesus was god.
that disfellowshipping is unscriptural (it may be unloving, it may be unwise, but it does not appear to be unscriptural).

Milton Henchel is dead
by beroea inthis morning they announce to the bethel family that brother milton
henschel passed away on
in the full time service for 69 years and was the 5th president.

That is a dishonour to 6 million dead jews by even attempting to compare Hitler to any JW leader. Hitler malicously orchestrated the murder of 6 million people. Unless you have some personal testimony from Henschel that he knew it was all a lie and just wanted to kill people over the blood issue and tear families apart then you are TALKING OUT OF YOUR ARSE!

That's quite amazing. I saw another report that showed a pic of a Dolphon jumping out of the water next to it's military trainer sitting on the side of his boat and the dolphin had a camera (or some sort of device) attached to it's fin.

Origins of SHOCK AND AWE
by chachasmum inthe basis of hitler's blitzkrieg, march 14, 2003 .
reviewer: a reader from langley, va, united states shock and awe were the foundational concepts put forth by hitler's military leaders as a new and lethal way of rapidly overwhelming opponents.
setting aside considerations of the violence visited on civilians and non-combatants or the damage done to infrastructure, hitler suggested that inducing "shock and awe" through his "lightning war" system would lead to rapid military victories.

"Shock and Awe" came from a study written by 3 retired US military commanders back in 1996 called Shock and Awe: Achieving Rapid Dominance. Although the idea may have been used in warfare prior to this, the term was coined in this study. One of the writers was a member of The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, so I doubt it had too much to do with Hitler.

I was referring to the fact that you, Jourles and others are clever enough to read this man's heart and mind to be able to tell that he knew it was all a lie and was a malicious person. How do you know that he did not truly believe that he was helping others attain everlasting life? I know I did when I was active, and I'm sure you did too. It's statements like yours that make me think that although some have left the JW faith, they have retained the arrogance and confidence in their personal beliefs that goes along with that faith.
I don't know what this man knew or didn't know,so I don't attempt to judge him. I feel for those that did know and love him and now must grieve his death.

I can't believe people have compared this guy to Hitler and Hussein. I can't believe some of you are DUMB enough to think that you are so smart as to know what this man thought, believed and felt in his own heart. I've never met the man, but certainly do not rejoice in his death.

YELLOW RIBBON : Show your support!
by email ina lot of us can have different opinions about going war... some can support it... other can protest it... and thats what freedom of speech is all about.
but there's a threshold and we're past that threshold... we're at war.
so no matter what your opinions were before or even now no one can change the fact that we are at war and that won't change no matter how much those that oppose it try.
-
amac
I do not find it offensive that people post Yellow Ribbons, but I certainly do not agree with it and will not post one or wear one myself. I pray that every single troop over there dodges every single bullet and avoids killing others and makes it back alive, but I do NOT support the troops. How can I support the troops when they are fighting a war that I do not agree with? I do not support their actions by any means, but that does not mean that I want them to die...I want them to come home.

Is the average U.S. Citizen's view of civilian war casualties sanitized?
by amac inwe are a different generation than those of times past who are used to casualties of war.
we are spoiled with an inundation of technological advances in the last 25 years to the point where, in general, we expect surgical warfare and are shocked when things like a bomb being dropped near a wedding happens.
i wonder how the nation's view on this war would have been affected if the majority of people had lived through a modern war.

Yes. We are a different generation than those of times past who are used to casualties of war. We are spoiled with an inundation of technological advances in the last 25 years to the point where, in general, we expect surgical warfare and are shocked when things like a bomb being dropped near a wedding happens. I wonder how the nation's view on this war would have been affected if the majority of people had lived through a modern war. Wars are not surgical, they are messy and bloody and lots of people die physically and emotionally that don't deserve to die. I hope it ends quickly.

What bothers/worries you most about the war ?
by m0nk3y inthere seems to be quite a few concerned people out the regarding this war in iraq and for good reason.
so what exaclty is bothering you about it, does it involve the very real fact that alot of innocent blood could/will be shed ?
are you fearing this could all be a part of bible/wts prophecy ?

I am bothered by the idea that there will be some average Joe civilian over there who will lose his 5 year old son to a war that he has nothing to do with. That is what I can relate to and makes my heart very heavy.
I am also bothered by the fact that nothing good can come out of this war. Do Americans think this will bring an end to terrorism? I hate terrorism and I want it to go away as bad as anyone. All this war is going to do is increase terrorism in the US, because that is the only way they will be able to fight back.
