What a silly thing to say amac...No, little man, they aren't, are they? Now get on the good side, or at least don't defend the bad side.

What are you getting at? How did I defend them? I said I see similarities between the boards. I see in those post people rationalizing to fit their ideals, people making false assumptions based on second hand information, and people vilifying others to make them feel justified in their cause. I see the same thing on this board from time to time.

Reborn had made the point a couple times that they don't have first hand information yet they are still coming to a conclusion. Well most of the people on this board ;don't have first hand information and still find a way to come to their own conclusion.

So sorry if it cracks me up when everyone else is so flabbergasted by this thread on JWZone but fail to see the same qualities in themselves. I know I see them in myself all the time. And because of this I can fully understand why these people think the way they do. It doesn't mean I agree with it, but it also doesn't mean I think they need a kick in the teeth. I think the only people who need a kick in the teeth are people who think other people need a kick in the teeth (tongue in cheek.)[irony]

Well I beg your pardon then. To be honest, I really don't give a rat's ass, it was just an off the cuff suggestion.

I find taekwando and sparring in a boxing ring to be VERY therapeutic

That's funny, because when I read those posts I immediately thought of how they remind me of this web board, only the flip side of the coin.

And Reborn, you sound very riled up, maybe you are in need of some anger management? Wishing violence on people is by no means needed. In fact, I take offense at your statement of them needing a painful kick in the teeth as I have a lot of family that are still JWs... who knows, maybe that's my mom posting on there. I certainly wouldn't want that wished on my mother, no matter how much someone disagrees with her.

as a few may recall watchtower policy has changed when circumstances serves the interest of the governing body in getting rid of someone they want to railroad.

an example that has been offered involves peter gregerson.

peter was a personal friend to ray franz, in 1980 peter wrote a letter to the society, saying he wanted no further association with the organization.

I can't see them having any reason for complaint if you all arrive quietly and take your seats since the meetings are "public" and we have all contributed financially in support of this organization.

I would imagine that they would revoke his invitation to attend the meeting and ask him to leave. If I was an active elder and my job was to keep order and remove distractions, I know that's what I would have done back in the day.

greetings:

it is my considered opinion that aol is worried about the watchtower bible and tract society.why do i make this statement?consider these facts....i was,until 8/8/2002,am a member of aol and aol has a messege discussion board on the watchtower.and since last year,i've been writing factual documents on the watchtower and within 24 to 48 hours that post i put in are gone.i've complained a few times to the room moniter and they say they didn't do it.since they are the only ones that can,they are my prime suspects.but i let it slide.. so when i do complain about abusive language,in which the moniters tell me if there is such an act to tell them,they refuse to do anything.then i hear from other aol members that tell me that their posts are gone,just as fast.. now i know that there are those who abusive the room and use bad language and abusive other members,because we are not watchtower followers,i know it's just par for the course.. at times,people lie,but numbers don't lie.out of,lets say,i put up 30 subject posts in a given year,and only about 6 go through for a week.other people's post are up more then a month.now that's strange.. it seems to me,my opinion,equal time doesn't count to aol.especially the main topic is watchtower society.. it's this writer's opinion that the watchtower has a hold of some kind on aol.
