You'll feel at home, soon Alex. Until then, just relax and hang out. We're usually pretty peaceful folk, 'round here.

Watchtower Library - 1975 cover-up?
by B_Deserter inmost of us have read that 1968 awake article that clearly states their belief that 1975 was going to be the end of the "system of things.
" i decided to check out the watchtower library just to see if this article appeared.
it didn't, but i noticed something very strange.

That was just our understanding at the time....no need to dwell on the past.
Let it go, already, for the love of Pete

Well it happened I got into an accident at work this morning.
by noni1974 init snow last night from about midnight on.i was at work driving my cab.i usually don't drive in snowy weather but i didn't know it was going to snow last night.i was driving about 40 miles an hour on a plowed but not salted innerstate driving a customer to the airport.i hit an icy patch on the road and spun clear accrost the innerstate doing a complete loop.i hit the wall on the back passenger side.i messed up the bumper and tail light.the passenger was fine and not hurt at all.i hurt my back on impact.i strained some back muscles.. the passenger took it very well concerding he had a flight to leave the country he had to get on.problem was the trunk/boot of the car was smashed in on one side and i couldn't open the trunk to get his luggage out.the dispatcher called the towing company to come out to pry open the trunk/boot but they said they would be an hour.he couldn't wait that long so i took him to the cab company garage.i had a pry bar in my car.i was unable to pry the trunk/boot open myself.another driver was called to come get the guy and he was able to get the trunk/boot open.so he finally got his luggage out so he could go to the airport.. i had to fill out paper work for 2 hours.. lucky for me no other cars were involved and my passenger wasn't hurt.my lease is being held till i go downtown and speak to the big boss.so i can't work for the rest of the weekend.. my landlady is not going to be happy at all.i'm trying to catch back up from being behind on my rent.i went and got another job to help the situation but things keep getting in the way..

Jeff, if it is that you and your wife are of one accord, then you have half of the battle won. I can't even imagine the stress that you're undergoing, at this time. Tough choices and hard circumstances make for a very uncomfortable existence. You are doing, however, the only great thing that is to be done. For the sake of your grandchildren, you sacrafice yourself. Though that exacts a heavy, human cost upon your lives, the end result will show great promise as you do the thing that is human, and holy in the same vein. I commend you for the graciousness, courage and the absolute conviction, that this is the only correct thing to be done.

roaring lion or squawking chicken which are you ? please respond anyone !
by caliber inhere are my personal definitions for each (feel free to destroy these definition if you feel so inclined ).
a. a roaring brave, loud, no retreat, frontal attach , "going down in a blaze of glory " shot by the hunters who found you because of your loud roar all throughout the jungle !
you hope bravery will inspire your brothers.. b. a squawking chicken cautious, timid about danger but those ungodly squawks alert all the other chickens & the farmer who then shoots the would be danger, a fox.

Ecclesiastes 9:1-4
For I took all this to my heart, even to search out all this, that the righteous ones and the wise ones and their works are in the hand of the [true] God. ... 2 All are the same in what all have. One eventuality there is to the righteous one and the wicked one, the good one and the clean one and the unclean one....The good one is the same as the sinner; ... 3 This is what is calamitous in all that has been done under the sun, that, because there is one eventuality to all, the heart of the sons of men is also full of bad; and there is madness in their heart during their lifetime, and after it—to the dead ones!
4 For as respects whoever is joined to all the living there exists confidence, because a live dog is better off than a dead lion. 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
As it stands, I think I'll side with the chickens. Better to be a chicken, on my way back to the hen house, then to have ended up on somebody's plate, fried with candied yams and collard greens beside me.
