6 The wolf shall dwell with the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together;
and a little child shall lead them.
7 The cow and the bear shall graze;
their young shall lie down together;
and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra,
and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den.
9 They shall not hurt or destroy
in all my holy mountain;
for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD
as the waters cover the sea.Verse 8. Does that sound like someone is parentening children? A child that is being fed from its mother's milk? I think someone is still having relations. Not the resurrected, but those who did not need to die during the Day of the Lord. Those who survive and come out of the Great Tribulation?

Life after death
by truthseeker ineveryone has different views about life after death and whether or not it is a possibility.. as jehovah's witnesses, we were always taught that there is no life after death, that this is the only life we have now and that the wages of sin is death.. .
what are your views on life after death?.

Two examples in scripture particullarly give me reason to wonder. Elijah and Enoch. Two witnesses, according to scripture, " at the mouth of two witnesses let every matter be established " who did not die ordinary deaths. Genesis 5:24 & 2nd Kings 2:11 describe Enoch & Elijah, respectively. Two witnesses are all that's required. I've had a learned Bible teacher, Non-Witness explain his version of Ecclesiastes 9:5 & 10. That Solomon was so far in sin and rebellion at the time he wrote it, that all he could see was death, non existence and depression. However...
And Enoch walked with God: and he [was] not; for God took him. Genesis 5:24
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Hebrews 11:5 a cross reference from Genesis 5:24
And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, [there appeared] a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 2 Kings 2:11
Kinda' hard to call it from this angle. Seems like life after death existed for some as opposed to the general population. Yahweh has his special ones, I would assume even now. You've opened up an interesting can of worms Truth Seeker. I'll need to confirm notes and get back to you on this one.
For starters, this might pour some gasoline on the fire http://getstarted.wordpress.com/2008/01/17/what-is-the-great-cloud-of-witnesses/

Cult of Personality
by iamwhoiam init's funny how when you are able to take a step back an look at the big picture...you start to notice things that are just a bit wierd.. for instance...at the meeting the other night, we all sang song number 58 (notice the first verse).
then look at the songs in the rest of the songbook...and you will see that verses of this nature are in pretty much every other song.
keep singing these over and over at the kh and you begin to memorize them and eventually find yourself singing or humming them later without realizing it.

I apologise ahead of time, but in all honesty, that song was wonderful. I'm not a KOOL-AID drinker by any means, not in support of the bOrg and the way they what they do, but that moved my heart. Sorry to say, folx, but as things are in this world, we truly need our brains washed from much of the ways in times in which this world operates.
You may throw your rotten tomatoes now

Humans, as rule are good, Iconoclast. It's wonderful to see strangers get together from out of nowhere in a sense common goodness and wholesomeness like that. And have fun at it. It was truly pulling at my heart to see so much positive energy coming from that. Gives promise to man's capacity to be at peace with one another.

That would be a first. Tears of joy over here. Too cute. Don't waste such wonderful energy on those not deserving. That was precious!!!

How it truly does. I've been asked to dance to so many things in my life. I've sat a sizeable majority of it on the bench. The faith spoken of in the song. The closed doors that lead to others opening. Somehow, it seems if I just go ahead and walk on thru this life, God, and the Universe will take care of me. I truly love the music of this genre as it's some of the only true to life music that exist. It's speaks to the reality of life. I've heard this song before from a distance, this is, however the first time I've actually listened to it. thanks for opening my ears, and mind.
Happy Friday Syl.
