I stand corrected. Sometimes married people kill innocent babies as well. Same solution, get rid of the murderers not the victims.

Discovered a convicted JW sex offender in my area; disgusted!
by WingCommander innote: convicted offenders name and details are in this post, as it is public knowledge under freedom of information act.
if this post in any way violates any forum rules, i understand it being modified or deleted.. so here's the story.
a friend of mine emails me a website where you can enter your zip code or area and it finds all the known registered sex offenders in your area, where they live, work, etc.

There is a brother in my congregation who I found when searching for registered sex offenders in the small town I live in. The information on the website showed that this man served ten rears in prison for aggravated sexual assault and child molestation. He was released from prison in 2006, which explains why I thought he was newly moved into our territory.

I guess I am saying. If your not smart enough to respect an individual and a woman’s right to her body, I don’t think you are smart enough to vote.
What you really support is the right of people (not just women) to commit the sin of fornication and then escape the consequences by murdering an innocent baby. The solution is to eliminate the guilty (fornicators) not murder the innocent.
Heard of a country called Iraq?
So I guess one wrong justifies another?

When will new "generation" understanding be published?
by cabasilas inanyone have any news as to when the new "generation" understanding that was announced at the annual meeting will be published?
perhaps, the february 15th watchtower?

The way I understand the current WT teaching is that the term generation is not to be understood as a life span (70-80 years). Rather it encompasses an indefinite period of time covering the entire spectrum of events occurring during the last days. These are all of the events that precede the Great Tribulation.

Noah's preaching--"they took no note"
by skeeder inthe bible calls noah a preacher of righteousness.
however, it gives no indication that he undertook a global campaign to warn people of a coming flood of which they 'took no note'.. in gen chap 6 god gave noah very detailed instructions about building the ark.
in 6:18 and 7:1 he gave specific instructions about who to take into the ark.

Assuming that the story of Noah's Flood is true, what would have happened if 1,000 or ,000 people had of listened to Noah's 'warning' and wanted a seat on the Ark?
Maybe they would have had to construct their own arks.
It does seem to be a moot point though with no evidence that it happened.
Not completely true. The scientific evidence I've seen indicates that a worldwide flood did occur but that the waters would have not covered all land on the earth. If mankind only existed in the region of the earth in which Noah lived then all mankind would as the Bible says have been destroyed. This would have also meant that Noah would only have to save the animal species existing in that region. Ray Franz has an article about this available for reading at his website.

Do you wash your hands after using the restroom?
by John Doe ini've noticed a disturbing trend where 90% of guys don't wash their hands after using the restroom, and probably 25% don't even after number two'ing.
encouragingly, about 80% of the guys in law school do wash their hands.
(i know it's weird, but i count) .

Let's not just pick on the guys. An article I read several years ago stated that studies (yea, they actually studied this subject) showed women were as serious offenders as men.
For the record I wash 99% of the time. Hard to do when hiking though.

National Geographic Speail: Free Masons
by feenx indid anyone catch the special on free masons last night?
i unfortunately dont get the national geographic channel (stupid dish network).
curious to see if it was any good, anything interesting or new info?

I saw part of the program and it seemed to to picture the free masons as a very sinister organization. As one of the free mason officials said, it is not so much a secret organization as it is an organization with secrets.

How many of you are still affected by "Armageddon?"
by Soledad ini know i am, or at least now i'm finally willing to admit it.
when making future plans, i still have "jehovah's day" in the back of my mind.
i never caught myself doing that until fairly recently, and i just realized that it was holding me back in many ways.

I still believe there is a God that's gonna clean this whole mess up.
I agree! Those of us who believe what the Bible teaches (don't have to be a JW for that) should live every day knowing that God and Jesus are pleased when we are doing our best to be godly persons.

Barbara Anderson's Paedophilia CD: The Watchtowers Chocolate Cake Defence
by Duncan ini received my copy of barbara andersons cd paedophilia in an american religion a month or two ago, and i have been reading through it since.. what follows, although i have called this a review, is in no sense a scholarly consideration of the legal merits of the cases described, a task for which i am wholly unqualified.
these are, rather, my subjective reflections on the material presented, the impressions i gathered while reading the legal filings, my untrained, common-man appraisal of the cases laid out in those documents.
ill also admit to being swayed by tone of voice adopted, and to using my own common-sense yardstick in determining the reasonableness of the statements made, the responses given and the arguments put forward.

The question all defenders of the WTS should consider is this: Would God's Organizaion actually stoop this low? The organization may be up to snuff when it comes to the crooked way of defense lawyers but it misses the mark when it comes to being Christian in manner.
