I read on the talk page of the german wikipedia it is not neccessary "because they have a trained team to coordinate original translation" - however this should work. Rumors say the german NWT is done by a single sister knowing english only.

2. they admit that the reason the authors' names are omitted is primarily to protect the organization and the authors from liability.. all bold letters are original... i added the yellow highlight and red text.. branch organization manual: page 25-5.

What were you disfellowshipped for?
by Kristofer ini recently had a discussion with a witness friend (i'm a secret) and she claimed that witnesses only get disfellowshipped for being unrepentant for immoral acts.
i am curious to know from those who have been disfellowshipped, what was it for?

I am DFed mainly for apostasy - to be more precisley: for meeting with apostates. But as i did not want to go without any hint for the brothers and sister i wrote a letter to most of my congregation. I mentioned that no formal bibletext normally used for DFing would apply on my situation (2 John 9; Titus 3:10, 1.Cor 5:11, 1.John 2:18,19). So it was only driven by the elders as i even did not spread any info about my doubts (only with a close friend who also left the org)
In view of my activities during the JC they concluded with following reasons:
Apostasy, slander and causing division (2.John 9-11; 1.Cor 6:10; Romans 16:17,18)"slander" because i wrote the brothers the outcoming of the JC was settled even before starting it. (so where is the slander? I am DFed)
"Causing division" is very funny, because this was only due to my letter which wouldn't be sent if JC had not been started. It must have been a main theme in the congo for some time. -

by reexaminer ingreetings.. i have started a project that i hope will stay online for times indefinate, even to times indefinate.
you can find it at www.reexamine.org .. i started working on it in october and it is still a work in progress, however because of the shut down of the website located at http://quotes.watchtower.ca i felt that i should release the site in "as-is" condition, instead of waiting until it was completely finished.. currently, there isn't a lot of content in the 'wiki' section of the website.
hopefully in the next few days and weeks that will change, however there are still programming issues that i have to work out before that can happen.

It seems the site was run by a well known troll on www.sektenausstieg.net and therefore it wasn't the phoibos from there. I just banned the troll from our forum and a couple of minutes later his site was shut down.

Bible reading without the WT filter
by watch the tower inyou know even though i think the wt doctrine is mostly all garbage now, i still do believe that the bible is inspired from our creator.
the flaw in my understanding of it in the past was because i was interpreting it through the filter of the wts.
recently i have started clean slate and read the bible without the wt filter (easier said than done, your mind has a way of reverting back to what was programmed in there).

I bought a study bible while i examined the WT teaching but didn't really start to read it after my DFing. I layed it away but surely miss the feeling of having a relationship with god. It is now one year after leaving the JW and i think it would be good to read without WT-sight. But how to start? I don't know.
