@toesup - this is the problem with misquoting them. You undermine your whole argument. Tm3 didnt say "thats not the jehovah i know" in regard people who are aged and struggling. He specifically said with regard to people who are able to do more but arnt doing their best and use the excuses that jehovah understands. Its a finite differance but your taking him out context and its easy to deflect inaccurate criticism.

Which brings us back to cedars.... Foolish prank calls undermine the serious grievances countless exjw's have with the organization. He basically boils his complaints down to tight pants. Easily deflected and quickly classified as juvenile.

I also noted three issues that could have been easily crafted in the formatt of a concerned brother calling, worried over issue x,y,z and solicited tm3 viewpoint.

What you asked and what you answered are two different things.

The JW religion may never end, or at least not our life times. They have lasted 120+ years as it is....

but it seems maybe you are asking how long will it last in its current form (your headquarters quote lends itself to that interpretation). My view on that is i already dont reconize this cult from 10 years ago. I could easily foresee big changes...of what sort, i shall not hazard a guess ;)

All i can do is echo what others have already said, but i will add my own insignificant opinion: in this call, TM3 ends up looking better than cedars. He laughs at the rediculious premise cedars throws at him, asks him who he really is and what he wants and then hangs up when it goes nowhere.

Where i will echo others is in pointing out that this jack wagon HAD A GOVERNING BODY MEMBER ON THE PHONE!!!!! The best you can come up with is a stupid remark about tight pants??? Or what if we find tight pants on you??? (Tm3 response was a classic slap down: "then you must have shrunk them" remember, cedars claimed to work in the laundry) Moron. He absolutely wasted a golden oportunity on sophomoric antics.

Question him on disfellowshipping, child molestion, hell question him on the rediculious generation teaching ANYTHING of substance, but please have the intelligance and foresight to not waste this ON TIGHT PANTS!!!!

this ranks number two on the top ten list of "stupid things cedars does to set back the exjw movement".

I just had a thought about the new KH design

i've been trying to figure out the purpose of the new (bland, commercial style) building that the gb is pushing.

it is not a design that attracts attention, nor does it offer a lot in future resale value.

it will be more difficult to build than the wood residential style buildings, meaning they can't use their cheap unskilled labor force for a lot of the work.

Or claim they sold it, tranfer it to shell company and then manage it all the while the congregation believes it was sold. That i could see as a possiblity

Negative, jeff. There are at least two flaws in your theory.

1) these actually will still be built with free jw labor. The thermosteel construction and brick exterior is a decade old (at least) in dubbie lamd. They absolutly are not contracting anything out, except in places like ny city where union laws demand it.

2) kindomhalls are used quiet a bit during the week outside regular meeting nights. Meetings for field service are held twice a day in most halls as well as various elder meetings and the like. Then there is the issue of blasphemy mentioned by someone else.

It seems clear to me that this new design is all about flipping the buildings.

Im not one to buy into overhyping these types of things but i do swear that looks like a real gold rolex submariner.... If so hes a buffoon for wearing that on camera. An absolute buffoon. To cry poor qnd ask for donations with that huge chunk of money on wrist, while so many sacrifice to pionsneer and build more free halls is just the height of ignorance. Its a glading reminder of seemingly bigger and bigger ivory tower they live in compared to the rest of the organization.

my mom called me yesterday to ask how i was doing.

i hadn't seen her in a while, so it was nice to hear her voice.

we went through the motions of jw small talk and then she started telling me about her co visit from last week.

My congregation, east coast USA (washington dc), has the CO visit this week. In hos talk last night he said the same about our way of worship being altered. Clearly part of the outline. Maybe priming the masses for weird changes but more likely typical fear mongering

Im sorry JHK, i misunderstood. When you bumped the thread with another picture diagramed to show where you claim the original pictures were taken it appeared you were reopening the discussion by adding new information or what you may feel was proof of where the pictures were taken. I was commenting on that mistaken impression.
