well ive been studying with the jehovah witness for about 3 yrs now and im really thinking about making myself a publisher and i want to know is this website real and why are people talking about hiding their names what are they hiding it for shouldnt you be happy that youre studying with the jw and the jehovah called on you.
and what's up with all the swearing havent you thought about keeping up good lanquage in case someone visits this site and see that and whats up with the half naked pictures of women whats really going on
Some of you seem very comfortable enforcing your own opinions - I wonder where you?ve picked up that habit?
I don?t understand what the deal is here. Would someone please explain?
Some of you seem to be holding onto JW beliefs, in which case you know as well as I do, you shouldn?t have anything to do with a site like this. And then there are others that give weight to what the organisation says about ex-JW?s, that being they have nothing nice, or constructive to say.
....eagerly anticipate the global bloodletting of billions of people (the wbts will grind your axe for you so you don't get in trouble with the law), become a prince (in your own mind), be a teacher instead of a student, wear nice clothes instead of janitor work clothes, imagine yourself very intelligent without ever getting an education, feel cock sure that god will vindicate his holy name (and yours along with it.
in other words, show all the people who screwed you over that you really were the smart one), feel very important because even though god has hidden these things from men, he chose to reveal them to you, have your choice of really big expensive houses after the big a hits, save your money by not wasting it on charities, be holy even as jehovah your god is holy, have instant friends without having to go to the trouble of getting to really know them, feel sorry for the misguided (intact) families that attend church, suffer for righteousness sake thereby guaranteeing god's favor, memorize the correct verbage for counseling others (meetings and field serevice), stop 'sighing and groaning' because the wbts will wipe your bum for you, defeat the devil by being on the winning side of a cosmic power struggle, show your loyalty by shunning family members that don't agree with you, possibly meet governing body members at conventions (christ's brothers), eat fresh warm krispy kreme donuts after desparately trying to save lives for 45 minutes on saturday morning, become a bible scholar, save expensive tuition costs by getting the equivalent of a college degree by reading the awake, and last but not least :
Reminds me of that man found with a Bengal Tiger, and a crocodile in his flat a couple of weeks ago. Maybe the New System had come early for him? until they started to maul on him that is!
first of all i would like to say how much i appreciate your christian activity by continuing declaring the good news of the heavenly kingdom as foretold in matthew 24:14. i can say many other things to assure you of my sincere appreciation to your god-given work.
I don?t mean to throw the cat amongst the pigeons, but Benny, if you were an elder what were you doing reading that book in the first place? You must of known that it was going to be negative about the organisation, and therefore, as an elder you shouldn?t go anywhere near it? I?m really sorry, but if you were a practising elder, that seems a little hypocritical in the first place.
my boyfriend (feels more like fiance though i guess as we've talked about but just need the ring) and i have been together over two yrs and living together for over a yr. he never was a jw, and professes to be no religon and isn't even sure god exsists.
My husband is not a JW. We lived together for four years before getting married.
It?s funny because my husband can?t understand the JW?s, no matter how hard he tries. He?s gone for a drink with my Stepfather, Brother-in law and Uncle (all are elders) upon his own request to try to make sense of it. The only question he wanted answered was besides becoming a Witness, how could he improve relations with his new in-laws so they can have a relationship.
The only answer they gave was: Would it really be so bad being a Witness?
now that i have your attention,i would like to know if some of you experienced teenage parents could give me some advice.you see i have a teenage boy.he is going to be 15 real soon.the topic sex has come up many times in the past and i usally just pass it off to his dad.
( i think that that is dads territory..lol)i have to say we have a pretty good open communication when it comes to most things.this weekend though,my husband says he is going to actually buy him some condoms and show him how they work.my problem is this.
(a) my son knows that we really think that sex should be saved for the one you love.
I am sure that if your son is 15, he knows all about the birds and the bees anyway. I think the most important thing is that he is able to approach you and your husband, and discuss any issues that he has on his mind.
When it comes to sex, I certainly would of found it more helpful is my parents had listened, rather then preached!
Mate, I do know who you feel. When I first left I didn?t see or speak to my family for two years, then I had a suspected brain tumour, so we had to temporarily make contact.
A crutch is something that provides help to those who might falter otherwise, and in the case of JW?s, they obviously need help with the answers about almost everything, from why we?re here, to where we?re going. They can?t cope with the unknown, so they use it as a crutch!
My point is this: I left the JW?s by choice (although given, it wasn?t easy at first). My Mother, Sister, Grandparents, Aunties, Uncles, Cousins (you get the picture) have decided that is what they need in their lives to give them hope and direction. I would never want my Mother to leave the religion as she wouldn?t be able to handle the real world, or the concept, left alone the reality of independent thought.
Don?t get me wrong, it?s not nice when people you have known all your life blank you, but I don?t get angry with the JW?s as a whole, rather I feel sorry for that person as they are obviously very ignorant.
I don?t mean to sound cloying, but I believe we should defeat them with Love, otherwise we lower ourselves to their level.
