  the same guy that spoke to my mum on the doors yesterday was talking about them in the same catergory , aswell as saying that there are alot of 13 to 15 year old girls hanging around the local night club looking for a one night stands (she should of asked him how he knew about this , is that because he is there ?

  ) his point was is a man of 25 that picks up a 15 year old plastered in makeup at a nightclub a paedophile ?

  which was totally irrelevant to the point she was making about the local ex min servant that had abused his daughters friends in the cong even though he was good friends with thier parents and had known the girls since birth , so did know they were underage .

  JWs like their secrets. They like secrets because it allows the appearance of what ever they are trying to front. When the secret of Homosexuality comes out, it just shockes all their contrived sensibilities.

  I think the same goes for most other fundy christian groups too. I think they get more bent out of whack over one of their own being gay than they do over child molestation.

  you know, the freedom to turn up at will or leave after the public talk.

  we've got to get a new computer because this one's about to die.

  everything has vista, but i've heard so many people say they hate it.

  Last fall I went to Wisconsin and helped my computer illiterate grandfather buy a computer. We went to Best Buy and got a HP. It came with Vista. Yes, it looks pretty but it is a pain in the ass. Part of what I hate about it is that it is like a too friendly puppy always getting underfoot, I can figure my way around a system, I don't need all kinds of 'helpful' time consuming things popping up. Ggrrrr.

  His computer also has a problem with the power settings and goes into the "vista coma". You can google that to find more. I started a thread in the tech section here a while back asking about vista and going back to XP. I am having a friend that works at Microsoft buy me a copy of XP from the company store. I intend to downgrade his system to XP, as long as the HP guys give me the clearance. The recovery partition on the HP has vista preloaded, so I'd have to kill that too. One last item that might hold me back is I had him buy the complete version of Office because he needed a spread sheet. $450+ dollars later, we had a spread sheet. If this program is not usable under XP, I may just try to tweak Vista.

  I live in Seattle, and get on average one call a week from my grandpa or uncle trying to fix things that have stopped responding.

  I don't hate microsuck because its 'cool', I hate them because they suck. The only thing supperior about Microsoft is their marketing.

  I like Linux, but haven't played with anything in that camp for about two years, so there may be some new stuff for me to figure out. Maybe I should just upgrade his system to Linux.

  Vista has Majong, that's kinda cool.

  ARE YOU PRO-UNION OR ANTI-UNION?

  would you rather work in a unionized or non-unionized environment?

  the place where i work recently voted 'no', we don't want a union in here (after being harassed by a very large union for the last 5 years).

  there were some who voted 'yes', but the majority of us voted 'no' and those that were pro-union are quite pissed off that the rest of us 'fail to see the light'.

  I was a grocery checker for 10+ years, and it is a thankless soul destroying job. There are decent members in the public who take the edge off, but generally, customers are stupid and brutish. When I was the night manager, still union, it got better somewhat. But then dealing with the corporate twats -store directors- took that joy away.

  I think that if someone were to design a new business model, where the purpose is to create a balanced system that benefits all parts, then we would not need a union in that system. What makes it tricky is that you have to deal with human nature and the vast spectrum of individuals, some decent the other end being a-holes.
