I still think of his name as Jehovah. But I haven't said one prayer since my decision to leave JW life last July. Guess I am not sure how to, or what to say.

When you're partial to someone WITH a Jersey accent...you become partial to the accent
I hear that. The love of my life is from Jersey..
I also love Jamaican accents.

Did I get the wrong Christmas Ornaments?
by Elsewhere ini have a small tree so i got a package of small ornaments that are about 2 inches in diameter.
when i bought them i did not notice that the tops do not have hooks like i expected, instead they have very small loops.
these loops are too small to slide on to the branches of the tree, so am i supposed to use little twist-ties or something?

This is about what I would do. I have no idea what to look for in ornaments. Been wanting to go out and have fun looking soon though.

The Preaching Work Is The Biggest Scam Happening On Jehovah's Witnesses!
by minimus inthe most useless work a jw can do is preach!
the watchtower society said that every baptized person, whether they be male or female, child or adult, is a minister!
and the society says every minister must do a "life-saving work" and "preach the good news of the kingdom".

I know I never loved it. As a matter of fact I always hated service. When I went, it was because I felt forced to. I never minded talking to people on the side but only if the subject came up.

my mom loves the ministry. It is more important to her than me.

Do Jw men treat wives as Christ treats the church?
by ellderwho in.
what has irked me lately is the way my mothers husband (elder bob) treats mom.
in typical jw fashion subserviant, always careful in speaking out of turn esspecially our weekly study( "bible study") er book study.. i have to find a way to work in the reference of treating wives the way christ treats the church and let elder bob stew on that, but being careful not to plant seeds of resentment, with mom.

A lot of JW men, at least where I grew up, treat their wives like door mats. I remember my husband (now ex) telling me about a brother he knew who had his computer boot up with a message telling his wife to remember her place and that she is to serve him. I was always hearing that my father in law thought I should be turned into the elders for not being submissive enough. I was so submissive my work mates used to throw up when they heard the things I did for him.

Nipple Question
by Stacy Smith ini see at least two males here (according to their avatars) have nipple piercings.
the only question that comes to mind is.....why?
is it something that you have done to impress women?

earlobes hurt but only for as long as they are doing the piercing. So it depends on how it is done. I had my ears pierced with a 'gun' so it was fast. I can imagine the other more intimate areas do hurt when being done and that is what holds me back. Other wise I would do it.
<----not into pain...
well not usually.. depends on the circumstances
. For me it's stockings and heels...love the way they feel..love the way they look.....so when I wear them who is in control...me or the man???
oh and you are right there Xena. I think you are in control in those things. I know it has worked for me. Make sure the heels are nice and high.. that will get them every time. (unless a guy has a foot fetish that is) -

I guess I never thought about it as control. The guy I was with was definately the one in control. Well he and his friend. Any way, I thought it brought more pleasure to the one you are touching when it has been pierced and that was what turned me on. I've had guys recommend 'other areas' for piercing on a woman to bring her more pleasure. I'm sure that is a turn on to them as well.
CHEVYSNTATS, now that is what scares me. I can see why you hesitated.

I was with a guy once who had a nipple piercing. He didn't brag about it or anything to me. But when we got down to the 'undressing' taa daaah (drum roll), there it was. It was definately a turn on for me. I would think if men get a good reaction, it might be something they find worth while having. (as for me, my nipples are for other things, but not piercing! Ouch!)
