no one knows when the internet will fail.
If the internet goes down, we all show up at Simon's house and continue the conversation.
that's a good idea.. although I'll bet by the time some of us take a plane to get there.....

it turns out this sister was divorced a few years earlier from a "worldly" man who had an affair on her.
My wife was unfaithful to me so this is a sore point I am afraid

Better yet, he brought her (and her husband) to our home and had me play hostess to them she could get a chance to get acquanted with our children...

I do remember a brother I dated for a short while from the Ft Worth area saying that several couples in their congregation had broken up a few years back over online relationships, meaning brothers (married) and sisters (married but not to each other) chatting online to each other first.. .. flirting while home and with spouses in the house but not the room with the computer.. and then eventually moving it to real in life affairs.. and then divorces..

I have noticed that in some areas there is more infidelity and marriages breaking up than others. The more conservative area you live in, the less you see immorality in the congregations.
I guess the thing is, JWs claim that they are not immoral and adulterous people, so when someone does commit one of these acts, it is more glaring..

it was at the meeting i ducked out of yesterday, mom told me all the highlights.
apparently they are starting to crack down on online gaming because it lets you associate with "worldly" people.
this was further extended to chat (which they have been after for years) and online communities.
The congregations I was in ALWAYS discourage online ANYTHING.. with the exception of looking at the societies web site or emails to your personal family or cong members.. all other association they acted as it was taboo..

i carry a few extra pounds but i generally don't overeat.
however, i enjoy a good meal.
but, the organization that says, "let us not judge others" is giving it's members free reign to judge those who are overweight (in the judger's eyes).
They can overlook the "overweight" because you need the extra pounds for when persecution comes and you are starving....
