i thought at the end, stewart made brilliant use of scripture (about establishing fornication or other sexually immoral practises) how, in such a clever way stewart used scripture to point out that some one could basically stake out someone's house to see if a person stayed over night be they homosexual or heterosexual............that on the basis of a sort of stakeout, the two witness rule was ambivalent yet it prevailed.
due to sufficient suspicion.. and therefore why did this "suspicion" not prevail with child sexual abuse.
Poor pathetic Pope Jackson. He doesn't realize what he is up against.
He sits there with silver sword in hand and makes disparaging remarks to the Commission about their lack of knowledge of the Bible. What a jerk. Little does he know what kind of minds he is up against.
Stewart and McClelland have no problem with logical and rational thinking. It is those qualities that have got them to where they are. You don't become a courtroom lawyer or judge without having a razor sharp mind. Jackson is a blubbering fool - huh...the Bible is nothing compared to the knowledge these guys have have inside their head.
Jackson is so deluded. A deluded fool. Session Two could be a bloodbath.

Dumplin: Orphan I just posted an article that lists them all.
Cool.
There is a lot of scholary research that has been done into the role of women in Old Testament times. I took a class when I was in University that was an exegesis of the Old Testament. Interestingly, the first 3 months were taught by a woman Jewish scholar.
I had a hard time keeping my head above the water line in that class - lots of Religous Studies majors. I remember Judge Deborah because I did my final paper for that first semester on the role of women and specifically examined Deborah.
Jackson has no clue about what he is talking about. He keeps lecturing the Commission on how to take scripture in context and he does the complete opposite when it comes to anything to do with a woman's authority.
Damn, I wish my prof from that class could set the idiot straight. She knew her stuff - and she was a woman teacher. She could sure school that boy some, I would think.

Umber: She held great authority..........Damn, what's her name. I'll send it straight off if I find out.
Judge Deborah.
Judges 5, I think.

Jackson was so insulting in many places. He took some pretty nasty shots at the Commission.
He is really in for it. Justice McClelland and Angus Stewart are not going to take his insults lying down.
Jackson is hanging himself and he thinks he is winning. His pathetic weapon readily available - the silver sword. He better watch for the backside of that blade - he is bleeding all over the place.
hello people.
the rc will still go ahead with it's live stream on friday 14th august.
however, it seem that it will be a video link.
Wow...the material from this session is amazing.
On my list of organizations to contact - women's group worldwide. Amnesty International. They gotta see and hear how women are treated. Unbelievable. The idiot put it on record that the JWs treat women as at the bottom of the totem pole. No role in the decision making process. Evidence collectors only - the role of witness but nothing else.
I am so happy that we can watch Jackson. Lol! I did some prep for this...I read up on lie detection. Lie detection is a bit of a hobby of mine. I have, unfortunately, have had some serious contact with a few psychopaths in my past.
Heehee...Jackson's body language is hitting all the red flags for "things to watch for when trying to spot a liar". And, I love how McClelland and Stewart are handling Jackson. They are trained. They know better than most how to look for suspect behavior. I love how they tag team him.

i emailed mr. stewart about jackson's testimony, asking if the video link would be visible to the public.. this was his prompt reply:.
thank you dianne for your interest.
the it people tell me that mr jackson will be on the screen for all to see and hear.regardsangus stewart.
I want to clarify something...
When I said..."what a perfect place to put a kangaroo court in the world limelight"...I didn't mean that the Royal Commission was that - I was talking about the WTS kangaroo court system.
The Australians are at the top of their game.
Heh...I think the Aussies have learned a thing or two from the kangaroos - they sure know how to kick ass!

Heehee...Brother Geoffery and Brother Francis...I can't help thinking about this.
I have enjoyed these proceedings so much. I have said it before - it is the best reality show ever.
Lol! First, the location is great - what a perfect place to put a kangaroo court in the world limelight. Kangaroo Court - meet Kangaroo Land.
The script couldn't have been better, the plot is riveting, the casting has been impeccable...and now this. The best casting choice ever.
A Pope Francis look-a-like.
To speak on behalf of Gawd Himself.
Heehee...first we got a Catholic woman on the stand to give 'expert' testimony in support of the WTS. A woman who has worked extensively within the Catholic Church on child sex abuse issues. Perfect. A Catholic woman touched the sacred elder manual.
What kind of comedian picked her to appear? Well, apparently the same one that said, "Hey, Geoff! Want to pop over to that island down under and check things out? Lol! If things get too hot down there, you can always put on a beanie and sneak past airport security...haha! they will all think you are da Poop himself!"
This is getting good...I wonder what will happen next? The plot thickens...I must buy beer...
zimbabwe has been under the rule of a dictator since 1980. robert mugabe, the president of zimbabwe, is notorious for his ruthless ways of dealing with the problems of a post-colonial country.
his land reforms resulted in much economic hardship for the people of zimbabwe and anyone who was a white farmer in zimbabwe suffered dire consequences as a result of mugabe's land grabs post-2000.
the atrocities against the people of zimbabwe have been documented by cathy buckle and i have personally heard of the violence against those opposed to mugawbe's policies.. some comments from a 2003 article about robert mugabe:.
Do JWs have any self-awareness? Do they realize how ridiculous they look?
I don't think they do. They think that the rest of the world is ignorant of Mugabe's atrocious policies that have trampled on human rights in his own country. Not only that, the JWs themselves would be ignorant of the historical abuses that Mugabe has perpetuated. After all, the WTS is guilty of the same thing - violating the basic human rights of those who follow their ideology.
I find the history of the "Watchtower Movement" in Africa to be fascinating - the overtly political nature of how different WT sects have developed and impacted politics in some African countries is often overlooked. I find it difficult to figure out which of the African Watchtower sects are actually aligned with the WTS and which ones have independent organizations.
For example, in Tanzania, the Watch Tower Church has recently made the news because of its ban against voting for its followers.
http://allafrica.com/stories/201508110646.html
The Watch Tower Church is located at Kitika area, Kasanga village, along the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Kalambo District in Rukwa Region. The village is the headquarters of the Church in the world.
Investigations carried out by the "Daily News" recently show that the Church has not been registered officially in the country since its establishment 100 years ago.
The Kitika area is venerated as the permanent residence of Watch Tower Church's spiritual leader popularly known as the "Holy Father", the "Pope" whose followers have stretched as far as neighbouring Zambia.
