Village Idiot: I believe I may still have his booklet on blood transfusion.
I would really like to read that. Would you be able to scan it? Please? Pretty please... :)

the governing body are fighting for corporation survival here, and now and they are only going to get worse as the child molestation lawsuits must be paid out so expect more in real eastate sell offs and kingdom hall scemes to rip off the rank and file for every single penny they can get out of them praying on their extreme gulibilty to the limits another words to the breaking point.. this type of double dealing with the hard earned contributions given to support the kingdom halls will very quickly back fire on them causeing more extreme measures to pay the plaintiffs in child molestation lawsuits.
it is a snow ball rolling down the hill..
vidiot: They want a leaner, meaner rank-and-filer.
With large bank accounts.
The video the WT didn't show the rank and file was the one where Sophie has a large enough allowance that she gets to have her ice cream and give donations. That is the kind of Sophie the WTS really wants - the one that is so happy she doesn't have to give up her ice cream. She can buy ice cream and be a JW at the same time. Ain't life grand?
If you want to be happy as a JW, you not only have to give money, you have to have it to begin with.

Steve2: Regarding Bergman (aka Havor Montague): There has been periodic questioning of his professional credentials - the questioning has arisen for a number of reasons, chief of which has been the kinds of claims he has made over the years about himself.
I didn't know that Bergman also published under the name "Havor Montague".
A quick search turned up this little book he published back in 1979 about blood transfusions.
https://books.google.ca/books/about/Jehovah_s_Witnesses_and_Blood_Transfusio.html?
I wonder whether he was pro-blood or if he supported the WTS' bloody ban - he did his research on mental illness and the JWs before he published the blood transfusion pamphlet.

This recent push for money will certainly get rid of some stragglers. In the new JW religion, you have to have money to belong.
The WTS doesn't want you if you don't have money. The demand for money acts as a separation of classes - those who can afford to donate, and those who can't. It already works like that.
Want to climb the corporate WTS ladder? Give them money. If not, get kicked to the curb.
during the long debate on the question of gay marriage, there have been many competing answers to the question of, "how many people are gay?".
a very anti-gay christian minister in sydney, the reverend fred nile, (who is also a member of the state parliament) claims that the percentage is as low as 1%.. some university (u.of new south wales) research in sydney has suggested 5%, but the authors of the study cautioned that there was a problem in the fact that an unknown number of respondents would likely not admit to being gay.. there are other problems in asking the question.
for example, what does being gay mean?
This is a video from 2012. A Ted Talk called "Fifty Shades of Gay".
The speaker in this video addresses the variance within our population when it comes to defining sexuality.
https://www.ted.com/talks/io_tillett_wright_fifty_shades_of_gay?language=en
Artist iO Tillett Wright has photographed 2,000 people who consider themselves somewhere on the LGBTQ spectrum and asked many of them: Can you assign a percentage to how gay or straight you are? Most people, it turns out, consider themselves to exist in the gray areas of sexuality, not 100% gay or straight. Which presents a real problem when it comes to discrimination: Where do you draw the line? (Filmed at TEDxWomen.)
am3rd life story is in may 15th 2015 study wt.. after reading, he sounds very mental unstable.
i know you guys will be saying "yeah, obviously he is"...but we don't have any concrete evidence saying he has a mental condition.. has anyone ever dug a little deeper, perhaps try to find some people who would have known him from the army?
i mean, he probably doesn't know that many people, he was only serving for a year for christs sake.
It was the hot dog story that really sticks in my mind.
Tony's remarks in this video are over the top:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr0dI9OY_S4
There was a thread on here a while back that investigated whether or not Tony was really who he says he is and if he ever did serve in Vietnam. If he did, it would have been in a position that would not have seen what he describes in the above video. Anthony Morris the Turd is a sham.
I mean, really, what kind of person stands up and says the shit he did in that video?? He is demented.
interesting read.
if they already allow "fractions," there's no way they can ban this.. here:www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/nhs-to-give-volunteers-synthetic-blood-made-in-a-laboratory-within-two-years-10343279.html.
Either way, the real issue will be - which choice benefits the WTBTS most?
Exactly. It will not be what benefits the ordinary JW - it will depend on whether or not the JWs with money have invested in the company that will be making this new artificial blood.
My guess is that this new blood will be off limits. Approving it would be in direct competition to the product that the WTS currently promotes - Hemopure. The JW community is essential to the promotion of Hemopure. It is how Hemopure has their toe-hold in the States - through the compassionate use program.
Money talks and bullshit walks.
i think he would definitely diagnose him with a extremely violent form of narcissism, lugging around a huge shadow of denial, which makes him petty and homophobic, and those 100,000 animal sacrifice orgies he so very much enjoys are a sign of a serious greedy glutton.
no doubt this voracious hunger for burnt flesh of lowly animals stems from the energy need after he experiences a uncontrollable bursts of anger creating a vicious cycle he can not break free of so that the only thing that can save him and turn him less violent is a human sacrifice from his heavenly son incarnate to quell his terrible anger.. maybe some form of oedipus complex too?.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/oedipus_complex.
A psychologist would likely diagnose Jehovah as a psychopathic serial killer.
would it really affect them?
how would it affect volunteers at any construction project since that work would now be taxable.
any materials they buy would be taxable.
At the very least, churches should be taxed a portion of their money to go to cult recovery support. The social costs to deal with cult survivors is not one that the rest of society should have to pay for.
The same as governments give a portion of liquor sales and casino profit to addictions recovery, the WTS (and other churches) should be made to give a portion of their total donations to cult recovery. They should be held socially responsible for the harm they cause.

I just want to add some trivia about stem cells and the resulting medical research that has happened since stem cells were first discovered back in 1961.
Transplantable stem cells were discovered by two Canadians - Dr. James Till at the Ontario Cancer Institute in Toronto.
Of course, one of the concerns, of the research field that engaged in stem cell research, was how to acquire stem cells. One of the sources for these stem cells was blood - bone marrow and fat both contain precious stem cells. The company who was one of the first to develop technology for harvesting stem cells was Haemonetics.
Haemonetics emerged onto the biotechnology playing field in 1971, I believe, but their technology had been around for a while already. The company was formed out of necessity - When Baxter purchased American Hospital Supply some of the technology that was being produced by AHS, from which current 'bloodless surgery' relies on, was in direct competition to one of Baxter's existing concerns. This was likely another emerging biotech company based in either Europe or Britain. So Haemonetics was born. Just in time to develop stem cell harvesting technology- their early success was based on their stem cell harvesting technology.
What came out of that early technology for stem cell harvesting was the Haemonetics cell saver machine. The "bloodless surgery" that is recommended for JWs relies on cell savers.
Some of the early problems encountered with cell savers was that the re-introduction of a patient's blood often had material in it that was detrimental to the patient's health - bone chips, bone marrow and fat, and malignant cancer cells . So cell savers moved up a notch in its technology - Haemonetics added a filtering system that filtered out (as waste) those elements (which included stem cells). When a person's blood is scavenged with a cell saver, it is "washed' and then re-transfused back into the patient.
The Haemonetics cell saver is just one of the company's tools in its bag of technology that appeals to the stem cell field of research. And, it is the Haemonetics company that is linked to WTS people who work in the field of blood management.
