The door-to-door preaching work is really a tool to reinforce the idea for individual JWs that they are “on the right track” for salvation because, after all, they can say to themselves, “Well, it’s far more than just me doing it – there’s almost eight million of us all doing it together worldwide!”

Excellent synopsis of the long-standing failures of the WTS, as evidenced by that all-pervasive thing – what is it? Oh, yes, LOGIC.

even though watchtower's application has been rejected, they will be allowed to use the logo because it is for religious usage and will not be confused with commercial products.. the trademark office did note this:.

As far as a “tipping point,” I would think that it could only apply to each JW on an individual basis, and perhaps eventually to the entire rank-and- file JW community as a whole (long way off, though – don’t hold your breath). But as for any major “tipping point” on the core policies of the WTS (blood, disfellowshipping, beards, birthdays, etc.), I can’t really see it happening. I think the whole WT enterprise would be forced to either change or be shut down by the government (can anybody say “1918”?) before the WTS would change their draconian measures on their own.

in the past few weeks, my wife has been seeing more and more the lack of love and caring from jws.
for example, she is organizing a "princess party" for our 4 year old daughter.
a couple of the parents have expressed reservations about this since they think princesses may be "too magical" even though we know they have been to disneyworld, and watch the disney channel.

Well, “minimus,” with this 100-year anniversary of the supposed “kingdom rule” (quite a kingdom!), many JWs will be on a little bit of a high, largely thanks to the current WTS propaganda, but as this current centenarian milestone passes, the “reset” button will be pressed in the minds of most of the folks, only to await the next little “motivation” which happens to come along down the corporate pike.

Actually, in a manner of speaking, they have already done that: Brother Federick W Franz, at a convention in New York, in 1950, referring to the “great multitude,” the “sheep” of Matthew chapter 25, and the “Jonadab class” of 2 Kings chapter 10, asked the audience: “Would this international assembly be interested to know that HERE, TONIGHT, in our midst, there are a number of prospective PRINCES OF THE NEW EARTH?”
And so, the scam continues – good-boy, butt-kissing elders apparently have the prospect of becoming, not just elders, but princes in the panda-petting new world™.
