I think all of you have valid points, up to a point. (No pun intended.)

I think what ?1914? means is that if someone is in a position to be able to DA him/herself or get him/herself DF?d without being unmanageably affected by repercussions of the separation from family and friends, then, yeah, he/she might as well just get it done. If someone no longer agrees with the WT doctrines and wants to exit, then he/she knows that he/she will end up exiting anyway, so, in that case, what really is there to stop him/her from taking that step?

If, on the other hand, it would not be to someone?s advantage (for the above-mentioned reason) to go ahead and just ?get it done,? then he/she should weigh the pros and cons of any such decision, and it may be that he/she would have to bide his/her time until such decision could be accomplished with the least pain for all concerned (i.e., a responsibly-planned ?fade?).

So, if it?s going to be done, it?s going to be done. It?s just a matter of when and how.

I agree with ?1914? that once someone has already been DA?d or DF?d, then at least he/she no longer has anything to fear from any arse holes he/she fled from back ?on the other side? (referring, of course, to any arse holes which he/she considers legitimately worthy of arse hole status). I mean, it must be glorious to have the freedom of having taken that step of exiting and not have to give a damn about those we would not care to.

How weird jehovah's witness is-this is a true story

one of my friend married a so-called jehovah's witness, as what i recall that jehovah witness does not believe divorce, but this jehovah witness divorce the wife with a daughter and complain that his wife has mental problem, on his second marriage, he worked away the wife without saying anything, just disappeared and weeks later want to go back to the wife, he never respect parents, relatives and wives, force wife has s*e*x and sleep outside too, at the meantime, he is still online searching girls and tell them he is divorced and ready for another one, but he did not divorce on his second one yet.

this is the real jehovah witness, they are evil but wear angle dress.

That?s right. It?s very insulting to dogs! Although dogs may not be quite as eloquent and ?morally polished? as human JWs, at least they don?t claim to be!

Would You Outlaw Jehovah's Witnesses If You Had The Power?

as much as i believe that the witnesses are a "cult", i don't think i'd choose to legally ban them.

Nobody would have the power to arbitrarily and outright ban a religious group in our democratic society, unless they are some sort of security threat (like Bin Laden and his gang, abortion-clinic-bombing groups, violent organized crime groups, dangerous motorcycle gangs, etc.).

However, I completely agree with enforcing reasonable limits on any practices of any group that clearly victimize people by fraud, physical or mental cruelty, denigration (?hate groups?), or demanding its members to follow directives that result in suffering or death?like prohibiting blood transfusions, especially concerning minors!

If adult JW members are coerced into refusing blood even to save their lives, then that is one thing?although I think even this is unreasonable, harmful, and thus crosses the line. However, when a group imposes such arbitrary and ridiculous rules on innocent and helpless minors, sometimes even babies?when those helpless children could very well have eventually chosen to abandon the JW stand on blood after reaching an age of sufficient maturity to do so, but, alas, they have been deprived of that opportunity because they?ve lost their lives by being denied a blood transfusion?well, folks, that is totally unacceptable! I think that the government has a duty to enact legislation to put a halt to this cold-blooded carnage, and fast!

So, you don?t necessarily have to ban the WT?s existence, per se. Just ban any of their practices that defraud, demean, and kill! Seems reasonable, eh?

i plan to call up the branch office and pose as an 'interested one' and ask a bunch of difficult questions i am almost positive no jw witness will be able to ansewr.

1. if the supposed "light is getting brighter" then does that not mean that it is possile that many of the teachings that the society is teaching now may be false such as blood transfusions and the 1914 teaching?

2. since any witness who speaks against the wt and refutes one of their teachings and is therefore disfellowshipped for it, what if the very teaching that they spoke against turned out to be wrong later on?

Why do they practically order everybody at a JW wedding reception not to clink their glasses, but they don?t say anything about shaking hands, tipping your hat, wedding rings, the traditional wedding bouquet, the traditional attire for the groom (tuxedo) and bride (white gown), etc.?

I know that the JWs suggest that clinking glasses has some pagan or superstitious overtones, but what about all those other ?traditional? social things? I?m sure that some historical research would reveal pagan or superstitious ideas behind all those other things too (especially the wedding rings).

Also, what right do they have to order everybody not to clink their glasses? What about any non-JW relatives or friends? Isn?t that imposing their religious beliefs on others?

This is something that pretty well makes me want to leave any JW wedding whenever I hear it! I would love to hear the ?reasoning? that the Bethel would try to provide for this.

I don?t think it would be relevant anyway according to the WT because they would consider that period of time to be part of the 2,520 years comprising ?the appointed times of the nations,? or, ?the times of the Gentiles,? which apparently covered 607 B.C.E. to 1914 C.E. The Live Forever book, chap. 16, p. 140, states, ?During these ?appointed times? God did not have a government to represent his rulership in the earth.? So, I guess it?s really, as we say in legalese, a ?moot point.?

It seems rather convenient that there would not be any representative earthly government?i.e., ?Faithful and Discreet Slave??for such a long time period so as to establish any lineage of succession. (Don?t forget, the last of such established records were the ancient Hebrew genealogical records which were supposedly destroyed along with the temple by the Romans.)

So, if anybody in this modern age claimed to be the ?Faithful and Discreet Slave?, then, based solely on the existence or non-existence of written records, there would really be no way to prove?or disprove?their authenticity. (It would be kind of like being able to prove or disprove that last night you predicted the latest winning lottery numbers in a dream.)

Of course, the ?old standby? is always appropriate for determining the veracity of any class of individuals: ?By their fruits? . . . especially love.

What Are The Differences Between A "Normal" JW & A "Worldly"( Normal) Perso

jws believe they are normal.

yet, they feel, that anyone not a witness, (aka "worldly") is abnormal.

for example, at a jw wedding, it would be inappropriate to "toast" and cling glasses to the happiness of the new bride and groom.

I?m a bit confused. Are you saying that JWs do masturbate or do not? And are you saying that nobody else in the world does it? I thought that really everybody does it, JWs or non-JWs (but certainly non-JWs).

Maybe I?m just tired, because your syntax is causing me some sort of Boolean dyslexia syndrome. All well. I think I should just jolly well go and . . . um . . . you know, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . stop reading this computer screen here at work and go home for the day. (Y?all thought for a second I was going to say something else, didn?t you? )

The theocratic week of a "spiritual" JW (brown nosing Arse kisser)

Anybody notice how the Service Year? doesn?t include any theocratic ?holidays??

There?s no such thing in the organization as a one- or two-week grace period for the rank-and-file to just catch their breath, or just catch up (there should be!). When you think of it, there aren?t any actual ?holidays? for the JWs at all. The only things outside of the normal routine are ?special [extra] activities,? like the CO visit, assemblies, conventions, etc. The only ?celebration? they have is the memorial (another talk ... woohooo!). And, of course, the Bethelites? have to work on Christmas Day, New Year?s Day, etc. (they sure better read the fine print before they sign up!).

The only ?time off? that is allowed to be scheduled are the meeting nights immediately before a convention or two-day assembly. (The dubs need some time for cleaning the convention stadium!) However, it?s not really ?time off? because the material that is missed on those meeting nights before a convention or two-day assembly is often crammed into the previous and/or following meeting program. Also, if a Book Study? has to be missed for a memorial, then one-and-a-half chapters are usually covered in the weeks before and after the week that is missed.

They apparently expect people to arrange their own rest and recreation time as required, but it?s kind of hard when there?s always that pressure to ?keep going!? and not ?tire out.?

Jehovah's Witnesses really are JERKS

very early this morning i was driving to work.

i live out in the country so usually it's rare to see anyone walking down the road esp.

at 6:30 in the morning.

I had an old friend tell me once, that they thought being a witness brought more out of someone, regardless of if that was good or bad. For example, those with mean, judgemental attitudes will become more so as a witness, and those with a kind attitude would become more so.

That reminds me of what they say about alcohol. People who are gentle and quiet tend to be more so, those who are spontaneous ?lovers? will take advantage of a situation, those who are smart-alec clowns will be more irritating, and the type of people who are aggressive and obnoxious will often fly off the handle and victimize someone?like they are ?drunk? with courage and power.

It?s similar to the JWs. Their petty, hierarchical religion with its Pharisaical mindset is just the thing to give impetus to those who seek to either dominate or to be led by the nose.
