Bad month for the Borg this October!

the month started of quietly then all of a sudden news his the uk about a former jw elder who molested and raped woman and girls.

then just after as the dust started to settle news out of dallas texas where a complaint was filed alleging elders and a circuit overseer molested and abused six or more victim's.

before this news even had a chance to resinate threw the ears of those hearing it another complaint was filed in the state of connecticut of four more alleged victims.

To all the witnesses that always expect "something" to happen in October, is this what you had in mind?

There are simply too many scandals to keep up with.

I've been steadily reading and researching for 3 plus hours a day for nearly a year now and I will not stop until there is no new information.

After spending 25 years "in the truth", it's amazing how quickly the facts show ones otherwise.

i listened to the last recording of jim jones and it was chilling.

people cheered and clapped when he told them it was the end...one older black woman protests saying "the children have a right to live" but she is shouted down by the other members saying "if they take our kids they will grow up to be dummies.

I sure hope nothing serious enough happens that drives any of our friends or family to suicide over a religion.

I wonder what kind of reaction it would generate if the WTS lost it's tax exempt status and was found guilty of illegal financial practices leading to prison sentences and seizure of funds?

about two years ago after i had resigned as a ms, two elders came by to "encourage" me.. the first line of questioning was if i still believed the gb was directing the org.. i asked him "not to interrogate me".. they tried to open to a series of scriptures.. i cut them off with this tasty zinger: "i'm not interested!"..

they have not asked to see me since.. being direct has it's advantages.. .

You need to get yourself into a spot where you can hold your ground and keep your feelings to yourself without feeling obligated to answer the elders questioning.

--Maybe easier said than done.

I have done it.

I think once they get that you will not "play ball", they will leave you alone.

Mental Disorders among JW's

hi everyone, im begining to notice patterns of mental issues in the congregations and among the witnesses as a group.

do you think this is a trend in the entire world or is it exagerated in this organization?.

Name Some Stupid Watchtower Rules or Ideas

there's a lot.. one rule that is dumb is that a brother must wear a suit for a sunday public talk that he is giving.

any other time, the brother could wear a suit coat with a different pair of pants and not be counseled for it.. another dumb idea is that you cannot date a person unless you seriously might marry them.

if you're on a date, you were supposed to always have a chaperone and holding hands might not be allowed as well as sitting together.. what other dumb rules and ideas can you add?.
